I am asking for part of the low fantasy RP community.
Will night time/eclipse be a server setting, or do we need to find a way to explain not having nights anymore?

I never did like the nightime sim where everything gets pitch black. This change is positive. The devstream shows what it will look like.
It was a waste of time to wait it out.

Same thoughts here. I play on a private server and, while the idea of the eclipse seems really neat, Iām not super enthused about nights going completely missing for the entirety of the chapter. I love the beauty of the moon right now! A setting to determine how often the eclipse happens (every night, once an in-game week, etc) would be much appreciated.

I donāt know what you all are talking about. The nights are what really make this game a far better experience. Yes you canāt seeā¦that is why you need light sources or if you are like meā¦finding more arcane methods that are less noticeable and a higher level of stealth.
Back in my Siptah PVP days, I would beeline straight to the black harbor to get blindsight.

Night in the jungle with panthers running around can be scary and creepy even now.
Iāll grab my torch and then put my head in a swivel whenever Iām there at night 
I definitely like that!
But Iām good with trying out the creepy red supernatural night now

Hmm. I doubt FC would make imbuing or embedding a whisp defunct now to these night time changes. Maybe itāll still be pitch black inside the caves or dungeons.
I can understand the complaints about night beign dark, but thats not really the question i askedā¦
I moderate for a pretty popular RP server, and, if the nights suddenly do not exist anymore, we have to come up with a reason of why our exiles suddenly cant see the moon anymore.
And believe me, we had to jump through hoops to fit all the new sorcery loreš

How was it explained in the olden days?
Gods being mad at some slight humans did?
I could see some getting more religious like say doing more things (more rituals, sacrifices, etc) to try and appease the gods.
Could have whatever the Conan equivalent of druids or whatever bringing in astrology about celestial bodies and misc alignments or astrology.
Are there any eclipses covered in Conan lore?

The eclipse wonāt change a thing.
Try turning off the funcom events. See if that does it.
I like it when its dark at night time. Games (not survival) gone away from night time being actually dark with the exception the moon was overhead. I run around ESO all day and hardly note its night time since its barely darker.
I like it where torches/light sources are needed.
The event where you have eclipse is cool and interesting so not having night is fine for the event.
Plus, you can always turn off nighttime or shorten nighttime to mere seconds if you wish.

The most positive thing they can do it to make it as server setting (like suggered by @Ssg1 )for people who want to play with traditional day/night cycle, in fact.
Feature already exist soā¦
So, I hope they will do that .

Not much point of the 100 different kinds of lights without night time. Personally I donāt mind it because it only lasts like 10 minutes give or take. If you want to see a rough night time go to dayz.

It looks like this is just during the event, but if itās not, no night time is a terrible idea. Night time is awesome & having dark torch-lit environments is awesome. Makes the world feel alive & gives torches, lights, etc have a utility & makes creeping around in darkness scary.
If you want top make it a server setting, fine, but removing it entirely totally sucks.

In the challenge below i had to maximize for the first time ever in my whole gaming session all these years the timer of, dawn, dusk, night!
My first experience wasā¦
Why the hell i didnāt try this sll these years 
. The moon was less ācometā pretty close to reality and the nights now had a different meaning in the game. My house was looking beautiful with the lights since dusk and dawn was greater so the golden view of it, was breathtaking even if it was from sandstone pieces!
The greatest reason i donāt stay on private servers is the night speed and the thirst - hunger adjustments thatās making many recipes and items of the game useless!
I love nights from the very beginning, years ago when i started the game. Nights on exile lands was one of the greatest reasons i fell in love with this game. Playing single player and trying to learn the map with my follower, every dusk i was searching for a safe spot to create a campfire and spend the night! Back then i made my first dreams in this game, wishing to have e motes that i chat, eat, dance and sleep with my follower! And when i say sleep, i mean sleep no other 
. If today was my first day in this game, the feeling would be awesome, complete!
So i really hope they will keep this promise and eclipse is not here to stay!
