No Female Horse

Continuing the discussion from All White horses are now male!:

Some clarification is this being fixed? or is that a real answer… cause WTF

That is the real answer.

So far, they just move these male horse bug reports to feedback and give no reason why they did it. Don’t get your hopes up that they will give more this time around.

Personally, I would like to see more animals in the game have female variants, but they are going in the opposite direction instead.

I still dont understand “intended design” behind this. The intention to turn them all into male horses was…? What?

Id love to see revert of this change back to what it was. At this point I wish there was way to play older versions of the game as I would change to older version in a heart beat. :pensive:

Going by other threads, I think a fair number would as well (to pre age of war)

Would love to have clarification on that answer too. Did they even read what they wrote?

This is a perfect example of requiring communication, a quick fyi to everyone would suffice with expected turn around to resolve or explanation for why it is intended.

It’s so simple!

Thats it thou…

They say stuff as a joke, we giggle… they fix it. Add another witty comment.

This time… ok witty comment… and nothing to go on?

I’d prefer my Horse Kino, Rin, Saya… not to be male. Rather disappointed on change… if its even a change. (named after real horses…)

It’s a conspiracy!!!
Camera icon - Spy app
Furthermore… it’s a LIE!!!
All horses are NOT male… they preserved their gender… the females merely have… attachments…

Since you are here, can you give your opinion based on how the dongs are coded whether this change was 100% intentional or if it could either have been accidental and they just don’t want to admit it?

I think I showed you this once before.

It looks intentional :man_shrugging: they basically deleted the required condition of the horse being of the male gender for the… thing… to be displayed :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s why I’m saying it’s a lie, cuz their gender didn’t actually change and it’s perfectly identifiable whether it’s an old or a newly placed horse, they’re simply putting the willy on all of them indiscriminately

Everyone is joking with how this is an ‘issue’ right?

You say that Taemien… but do you know how horse babies are made?..
Once the foals stop respawning… we can walk…

Plus… it’s all fun and games until you try to hide under your female horse to ambush someone and out of nowhere it slaps you in the face… cuz it’s not supposed to be there…

I know the devs like their jokes on the subject matter. But I never really thought the community would take some of those seriously. Which is why I asked. But I guess I shouldn’t really be surprised.

I do remember having a bit of a chuckle at my first job because next to the phones was a phone book that had a picture on the cover of the local wild horses. But the editor of such didn’t realize that certain parts were very much on display.

It’s 2024, man… shh…

It’s more for those of us that prefer to use RP names. If your horse has a genderless name (or all the players that leave it as “horse”), fine, but you might feel differently if your horse named Lucy now has something extra… especially if you rolled enough horses to not only get a female, but also a particular color. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it is a bit aggravating.

I kind of get that, but to be fair I’m not really paying attention (and I’m not suggesting its wrong to) to its anatomy when I’m naming them. To me all of the animals in the game are pretty much genderless anyway, and the only reason the horses have those parts is because of a dev joke. It has no function outside of that.

If breeding was a thing, yeah then all horses having male parts (male or female as Xevyr points out) would make identification frustrating. But since its not, I’m really surprised this has at least two threads about it. I know some are having fun at the topic’s expense here, but I’m just confused about it.

Technically speaking, I believe they’re not present on the N.A. version anyway. So anyone using it wouldn’t see that and most wouldn’t care. That being said, it was definitely present on the EU version, so there’s obviously going to be some annoyances on their part.

Its there on both versions. Red Dead has horse nutts that shrink in cold weather… Horses tend to get passes when it comes to body parts…

I’ll be honest… I don’t remember female horse being anything… I’ve never look, I just assumed it was horse model with out the attachment.

As thats how alot of games do PP parts.

Again… I named my horses after Real ones I’ve own, and rode. Them having attachments… made it weird. I lost abit …myself using them now. (ps5)

Honest answer… after spending day… if not 2 gathering foals on my PC save(cause I lost my save…on update…magically?). and then running them thru.
Losing RNG lotto on female horses. And losing Lotto some more… Setting Crafting timer to 0.01 and runing thru Foals thru Admin Panels… and then resorting to placing them trying to get Kino and Rin Back…
I decide go to Forum … and ya. Answer given is not acceptable.

I kinda need Staff to show up and confirm this. If there all gonna be male… I’m gonna give up using Horses. And it was one of my more enjoyed features. I was always hoping you guys would improve them to be more a 2nd character, then a pet… (More towards Red Dead… or LotrO)

Ruin Stam

Ruin Combat…

Ruin Horses…

Keep giving me reason to not play…

On console, no. They weren’t there on N.A. version on PlayStation. I recall my friends asking me to check what their horses were when I switched to EU. Granted, I haven’t played the N.A. version much for the past year, so I haven’t checked since they changed it. I’ll have to confirm if they’re present now.

I’m playing PC/ Ps5, Brother has free psn(na) version. He made comments real quick when he passed horse with extra one going… That was before age of war and changes…
