Not drinking the cool aide anymore

2 of my clan members refuse to go into harpy unless I goad them into it XD

Or I get the recipes and make everything for everyone :unamused:

Siptah initially can be scary for players when they find out that there weren’t maprooms, and the only form of travel was a horse.

Once you get past that, Siptah simply gives you more to do

I always ask others that claim that they have “played siptah” 3 important questions.

Have you summoned and completed a surge?

Have you summoned and killed all of the Figurine statues?

Have you fought the demons at the center tower during the Maelstrom?

If you answered no to any of those questions, then you haven’t played Siptah.

No, that simply means they haven’t played Siptah they way YOU play it. That doesn’t actually mean a bloody thing at all however. Not everyone plays the game the same way, and not everyone cares about doing the same things in the game.

So basically
 if I’m understanding this correctly

It doesn’t matter if people try to reasonably explain to you the factual process of how things work and why you’re not seeing as much development on that map as you would like

At the end of the day this all boils down to:

“Anybody who disagrees with me doesn’t know what they’re talking about”

Yup, it’s that whole mentality of “agree with me or you are wrong”. “Play exactly the same way I do or you are wrong”.

Just wanted to say that how you present yourself and explained everything was very much appreciated.

Some of the other posters here should take note on how to calmly and effectively respond to other players that don’t share the same interests as you.

This conversation could have gone a lot smoother if some of the people here didn’t respond to me with such negativity.

Been to every location, learned every available pattern, done everything there is to do on Isle of Siptah. I enjoyed my time there, however I prefer Exiled Lands because it has more biomes

I have always thought that it would be fun on an official server to have a naked race to the top of the Volary of Jhil vault.

Give away a bladesmith or something.

Would be lots of naked dead bodies at the bottom, lol.

I shudder to think what plans you have for those. :face_vomiting:

True, I can agree with that.

I would just chop them up for Yog or Sag

I’ve personally attempted playing on Siptah twice. I will note that I play on a private server with just myself and my partner so no one is there other than us. Both starts were very
lackluster. I don’t think we made it past level 15-20 on either attempt.

  • As Lucidique mentioned, EL has more biomes and variety than Siptah seems to from what we’ve explored so it feels richer.
  • Everything is spread so far apart, there is so little life on the island. Leveling was a slog because of this.
  • Everything we did encounter felt like it should be something we encountered at higher levels but refer to point 2.

We do intend to do another playthrough of Siptah but using Amunet’s server transfer to start on Exiled Lands “remove” our bracelet, only to get shipwrecked on Siptah. This way we can experience some of the content of Siptah without some of the pain points that have turned us away from the map.

No
being factually incorrect and having unreasonable expectations are the things that make you wrong

No they did not
that’s just you twisting facts and moving goalposts to suit your agenda :man_shrugging:

They pretty much mentioned every single stream they did that the content changes will always be on Exiled Lands
but they’ll find ways to introduce some of the new mechanics to Siptah too - which they have done so.

The person lying here is you, trying to link that roadmap without any context and trying to falsely interpret it to suit your own agenda while accusing others of lying
you should be ashamed of yourself. This is NOT feedback

You made a post that can’t exactly be called “constructive feedback” - which is what this thread section is for.

I initially assumed, that despite this seemingly hostile post, you might be a reasonable person with the ability to comprehend facts, which you could then apply to your unrealistic expectations you presented in your opening post and simply understand the situation

I approached this in a friendly manner and put quite a lot of time and effort into trying to explain to you why the developers aren’t prioritizing Siptah over Exiled Lands and never will since they cannot
(not even if you proceed to protest butt-naked in front of their Oslo office
).

I was wrong :man_shrugging: you dismissed my whole post with a “idc, Funcom sux” basically
and otherwise don’t seem to be interested in facts or anything else, you’re simply upset that they’re not developing their game according to your personal wishes - regardless of the fact that your wishes are unreasonable - and you’re just using this thread to try and vent so it doesn’t really matter what we say

It’s the equivalent of talking to a brick wall
so personally I have wasted enough of my time on this.
Have a nice day.

If you’re already on a private server that would definitely be the best way to go.

Just to be clear this is all I read of your long winded post.

Facts:

Say whatever you want. The developers lied to and misled the community.

But hey the Battle Pass and Bazaar work!

Or perhaps it’s not worth the energy. IMHO, Siptah gives out too much easy and the stuff they make hard is just RNG grind to the point of pointless and the rewards have literally no bearing on the game.

How about
 :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Grind I can deal with. RNG grind I can’t. I’m not s lucky man so it takes twice as long as everyone else

Although I hate all grind.

I don’t mind RNG in games, if rng didn’t exist in games you would very fast know where to get everything, the game would just become too predictable
That said, the RNG in Siptah I didn’t like was when simple things like cooking recipes, ability to reset knowledge and attributes separately, Grandmaster Armor & Weaponsmith, etc
Things like these should be part of progression and exploration and not hidden behind rng loot.

Btw. You are not the only one feeling unlucky, today I decided to get a female berserker, I did get one, but only after having gotten 11 male berserkers :joy:
EDIT. At least those 11 male berserkers will make fine zombies for a purge

And zombies are going to be undead next chapter so yea! Now if only I can convince them to bring the old undead skins back as armor sets we can use to illusion our thralls
I would be in Hades heaven
