Hello, i just created Conan Exiles server yesterday and everything was fine but today i saw a strange problem when the NPC or Animals do not respawn in some places when they are killed. Its not about land claim or low spawn multipler, i was searching a lot to solve the problem but i cant find the solution. Thanks for every reply.
I restarted the server as soon as possible when this problem occurred, the server is hosted by Host Havoc. The problem does not affect all NPCs which is the strangest, it is generally about goats, elephants, rhinos and a slave camp near the savannah.
I’ve seen this happen. The mobs just stand there and do nothing until someone comes along. Then, they still just stand there. For me, they were invisible, like the greater rocknose. I just take two steps back when I trigger a mob (I hear it), that gets them to appear.
So the problem is something to do with the game files installed by Host Havoc. Bringing over just the game.db file to a clean game host install with a different provider resolved the issue. Specifically: there is something wrong with the default ServerSettings.ini file provided by Host Havoc. Copying the default settings from a GTXGaming server resolved the issue. I have advised Host Havoc of the issue.
Sure I’ll try. I can tell you that I have a default land claim radius of 1.000000, but it seems strange when I even put one construction piece on the volcano and the whole volcano doesn’t spawn, not in the claim radius but on the whole volcano. It seems the NPC spawn has its own path and you can put one block far away but when it collides even within one mm the whole spawn path won’t spawn. I can fix this by setting the land claim to 0.5 but even if it defaults to 1.0 strange things are happening. This only happens to Animals / NPC / Mobs not resources.
Our server on Exiled Lands (G-Portal hosted) had this issue with about half of the wights near the Mounds of the Dead. One of our bases was there and we’d do a training loop with new thralls. Once the wights were killed, they were gone until the server was restarted and would typically throw errors in place of respawning (though I cannot recall what the error was exactly since it’s been a couple months since we played that save).
In this case, after restarting, nothing happens. The point is like you said someone just built a base near or far away from the NPC/Mob spawn sector and it happens, one guy just placed the stairs on the savannah and all the elephants/rhinos are gone, even the ones on the other end of the savannah, but the tigers and antelopes that are closer spawn normally same problem in jungle when i put blocks and map room near the obelisk the whole jungle side will not spawn but if i remove blocks and only place map room everything will be fine after respawning starting. all server options are set to default
If you attach your game.db and ServerSettings.ini I’ll take a look to see if I find anything
(don’t forget to remove the admin pw from the serversettings file)
