I’ve heard every excuse and answer under the sun. America does not over sexualize the human body and either way my question is how does tbe ESRB prevent full nudity on Conan ps4 America if other games I play have nudity male and female as well as extreme sexual content, gore, criminal activity, ect. Why is it that only Conan isn’t allowed to add nudity to console but every other game can?

The ESRB doesn’t “prevent” anything. It is a private, non-profit ratings board, nothing else. Not allowing nudity on consoles is a decision by Sony and Microsoft.

I would like to know what games you are playing on a ps4 in the USA that allows full nudity other than some cut scenes. Playstation and Xbox self regulate to not risk esrb ratings because the majority of the games are R rated or less it’s about money and politics…Watch the News. And by the way I avoid the news

Agreed. I’ve seen a few with male nudity, but not many full frontal female nudity games come to mind.

There are a few games yes and some have Easter Eggs that aren’t in plain sight but they definitely know they are there when they release the game and it’s also not just full nudity. Some of these games have extremely graphic sexual content and criminal activity. Adult sexual themes and language that seems very extreme compared to a naked person running through a desert. Idk how something like let say the strip club in gta5 and images of cocaine sales are allowed in Sony games but a naked person living life isn’t allowed. Even cyberpunk 2077 is far beyond extreme nudity and sexual content comparatively. Just being naked doesn’t constitute sexuality and that applies in America also lmao.
It’s become obvious after 6 years that this will never manifest but realistically all the explanations are lame and just use American culture as an excuse. I never understand why companies aren’t just forthright and say Sony won’t let us lol. Would easily explain it away and people wouldn’t have asked about it for years after. Just doesn’t make sense. Does PC Conan in America offer full nudity?
I also can’t lie it’s probably how the loin cloth looks that adds to the frustration. Maybe a loincloth update would help

And allows for mods with full animations to go with it. On some PC servers, the booty in your hoard isn’t the only booty you lose in a PVP fight.

I am not saying I agree with not having full nudity. Played GTA when the first one or 2 came out no BJ,s then. Sony sells billions of dollars in movies and such does not want to damage their reputation because they make more money selling movies. If you have to see everything pc has no restrictions. Yes I have had some screen shots of my character full frontal from a Greek player on official USA server enjoyed the view but not enough to move to pc Bejeweled outfit and transmog or take your pick. @PriestessAthena

That is patently false.
Indecent Exposure (being dressed below the legal minimum, including nudity, as defined by the State in question) is classed as a “Sex Crime” and those convicted are registered as “Sex Offenders”.
While this one finds these laws absurd, they are still the laws on the books. There is some variance between states as to how much the fine is for such a crime, but in all it is a sex crime.
Federally, there are at least two bills attempting to overturn the Miller standard and expand the definition of Obscenity (the legal term).

Yeah, but remember when “hot coffee” turned into a major thing? You couldn’t even access the file without mods, but that sure didn’t stop people from raising a huge stink about it.
Oblivion had a similar issue with a skin file that lacked the underwear texture to cover female breasts. I’m not even sure it had nipples. You couldn’t access it without modding the game but it still resulted in a rating change.
And god forbid you dare show about five seconds of alien sideboob roughly thirty or forty hours into the game.
Oh, and lets not forget the one that helped spawned the ESRB in the first place. A handful of college age girls in nightgowns, not even close to see-through or anything like that, being dragged off by really, really campy “vampires” that aren’t even recognizable as such.
Yeah, nudity in games has come a long way even with the weird or nonsensical restrictions still in place.

To be fair, the congressional nanny meeting of '93 was aimed as much at Night Trap, Mortal Kombat, and Doom.
It wasn’t just the fear of sex, but also violence, and remnants of the Satanic Panic (which seems to be rearing it’s ugly head again) that got that wheel rolling.

I could argue this but it’s too much lmao. It’s the context in which the person is naked that made it a crime. Also the indecent part.
Also I’m already aware this won’t be a thing no matter how hard people push for it, I was just genuinely curious what the actual reason was. I have been playing Conan for 5 years. Haha. I’m not holding my breath or anything
Cyberpunk has full nudity on consoles. Its definitely not a ratings issue.
The “context” in many cases is whether any of the observers find it offensive.

AUS USA nudity on the PlayStation platform is censored, but not in Europe or this is total , I know that on the Microsoft platform you must install a DLC for a similar result.
It is therefore not Sony or Microsoft who censures but the USA (for Conan Exiles at least)
For my part I am surprised that nudity (not ■■■■■■■■■■■) is censored while some games authorize murder and sometimes worse.
