Official American pve serves have chest OPEN and players loot them now.
Servers need to be rolled back. I have lost years of loot due to this error on funcoms part.

And benches and preservation boxes. We got hit too on a couple. Locked doors helped.

The chests can be locked but check every server restart since I suspect the restart is resetting configurations.

Yes, I was cleaned out. Hopefully they will rewind the servers.

Following the most recent update, a critical issue has emerged on official PvE servers: players have been able to loot locked or previously inaccessible crates, resulting in widespread unauthorized access to private containers. This appears to be a direct consequence of the update unintentionally overriding PvE looting restrictions.
This exploit has significantly disrupted the integrity of the PvE experience, with many players reporting stolen resources and lost progress. Given the scale of the impact and the nature of the exploit — undermining the core PvE ruleset — I respectfully request that you rollback the affected official servers to a stable state prior to the update.
A rollback would help restore fairness, prevent further abuse, and demonstrate your continued commitment to maintaining a balanced and secure environment for all players. If a full rollback is not feasible, perhaps a targeted restoration or compensation plan could be considered.

Today’s east coast reset appears to fixed the issue. Waiting for West coast restarts to finish up

Also lost 4 thralls now to nothing because of the stupid living settlement, as if losing my loot wasn’t enough.

Omg!!! I had buckets on T4 npcs all looted and I had collected them bc of living settlements. Now I don’t have crafters to replace those lost through living settlements

I just looked again and all containers are locked again but all my boxes and tables etc have been looted.
This has to be corrected.

I’m so sorry. My clan agrees 100%. We were looted in the same manner.
Funcom needs to resolve this ASAP!

I lost a lot of items including 39000 gold. I put a lot of hours of farming. It’s not fair that I’ve lost my gold due to an EXPLOIT. Funcom needs to reset server

Let me preface this by saying that I lost nothing due to this snafu. I logged in early that day, saw what was going on, sealed my bases up and warned everyone else who was online. The following is what crossed my mind reading through these threads.
While I have no problem with robbing and killing or even unfairness on a pvp server, that’s why they exist, allow me to highlight the obvious for a minute here. The “people” doing all this looting chose to play on a pve server themselves where these kinds of things are not possible outside of hacks or screw ups such as what happened. Yet the second they had the opportunity to crap all over other people, on those same servers, for their own benefit they did so with glee. During Christmas no less.
Moral of the story: Well, I’ll let you all fill in the blanks on that.

I think that’s what feels upsetting. If it would’ve been decayed, then it’s fair game; but it wasn’t decayed. I was in PvE precisely to not play with PvP rules; yet this still happened.

Maybe this will spur players on official PVE servers to stop treating them like private servers with open-floor plan mega builds.
There are five locations on my server that I can guarantee a freeze or blue screen every time I pass them due to excessive taverns, thralls and exposed items. There’s one player in particular with 35,000 building blocks and 10,000 placed items. Funcom admins don’t respond. I wasn’t online when it happened, but my main base and vault farm are locked down. Thralls don’t get out. Benches aren’t by open windows. It’s consideration to other players. I still treat it like a PVP server because of glitches like this. I had a few chests at a maproom that got hit, but it was no loss to me.
Honestly I wish they would turn on open tables and chest locking on PVE. It would make players more considerate.

It’s too bad that you don’t have any other choice or option. I can understand how that’s upsetting.
