Official server #1550 PvE - g-portal.com - Super long rollback on character database

Official server #1550 PvE - g-portal.com loaded a rolled back version of the character databases (looks like about 3 or 4 months rollback). IP 212.56.32.205:28700

I’m beginning to see why people say NOT to play Official.

Update - It looks like the restore point used was the previously errant restore point used when the server crashed months ago. So gportal may have loaded a very old character database by reverting networking code, etc.

Inb4 - “Guys this is our latest restore point”, ouch hope it will be resolved soon, we put so many hours into that server.

So should we wait or are we better off starting over?

Our only hope is @Dana, we cant communicate directly with Gportal to have them look into it, they will just say talk to Funcom, but i would say wait, this likely (hopefully) can be easily resolved, if they have the correct restore point.

Ya they ignore anything ‘not related to getting money from you’ on their Discord.

Funcom needs to drop them. They are costing this company money.

We are investigating this situation on our end and as soon as I know more, I will update this thread.

While you’re at it, Official #1730 has been offline for four straight days. Some of us have characters and builds there.

Do I need to delete the new character when the server is rolled back so that I can play with the old character?

I hope we get our characters back. This is awful.

It’ll be as if anything done since this debacle never happened; characters, buildings
all gone and put back to what the server was at just prior to this.

1730 has been offline for me for 18 days.

One thing I don’t understand is why hasn’t the server been taken offline until this is fixed


This is going to cause unnecessary aggravation when those souls that started after this, login to find their characters are gone and everything they built (now approaching 14hrs, btw) undone.

The last time this happened there were several that were pissed off they had their time wasted.
