This game needs offline co-op mode.
Offline co-op mode= 2-4 controllers on Ps4.
Minecraft offers 4 controllers.
Ark offers 2 controllers.
(hint why I want NPC allies for this reason as well)
The second player or all other 3 players makes exiles. Basically a party on your own system. Or at lease a second player.
Remember this idea for Offline single player.
Players can jump in and out at will without messing up Offline single player mode.

I would really like a 4 player host session at least. Players would not need the game, just share play of sorts. This would be a great tool in recruiting new players, especially consoles.
My wife and I were talking about this exact thing a couple days ago, she wants to play conan with me but were not going to buy another console to do it. Solution: back to Minecraft… Such a boring game at times.
