Platform: PlayStation 4 Slim (1 TB internal HD) / No External HD
Issue Type: Crash
Game Mode: Online Official
Server Type: PvE
Map: Exiled Lands, Isle of Siptah
Server Name: 3890, 3530, 8050, 8054
Bug Description:
Constant issues with lag, frame rates, LOD textures and crashes since 3.0 launch despite patches. During an average gameplay session on any of the servers listed above, I will crash on average 3 times per hour. I have been playing the game since it launched on PS and did not have these issues prior to 3.0. Last night, I was attempting to harvest items around the spider vault on Siptah and an extremely large build on a rise above the vault consumed so much memory that I crashed 4 times in the span of 15 minutes. The 2-4 crashes occurred when I tried to re-enter the game or moved a few steps to try and exit the area.
Bug Reproduction:
Normal gameplay. Problem is worse if I am in the vicinity of a medium-large build or any graphics that consume more memory. (Open flames, storms, surges, purges, combat with several enemies, etc.) - since the most recent patch, I am playing my game in performance mode which reduced crashes by about 20% but they are still constant.
It seems to me that any console prior to ps4 pro is having these issues… i happen to keep all the consoles ive purchased in the past and so far the ones crashing on me are the fat and slim ones… pro not so much… and ps5 crashes but not that often… mostly when i open the bazaar/inventory/etc while pushing the toggle
That makes sense. The CPU, graphics card, and RAM all got upgrades in the Pro. But you still have a significant number of players using the base and slim models. Since this is still a PS4 game (rather than PS5), I hope Funcom is working to restore playability to all models of the system, not just the Pro. I know fixes take time, but I would love to see a formal acknowledgement soon that they do understand the problem still exists and will be addressed. The last patch did help, but only marginally.
hard to tell… specially since funcom now owns conan as a whole… they could be investing time on a second version of the game… meaning that we are leaning towards UE5… which could potentially kill the game for those using anything less than a pro console… but hey… dont take my word for granted… just a humble approach that its not that crazy since everything I said is potentially a behind the curtains truth.
Id love to see the game fixed once and for all… but taking into consideration the time its taking and the lack of a proper response or even follow up addressing the issues from funcom… anything could happen…
Guys, I literally posted a nice thread asking for an ETA on a fix for consoles and it was taken down within 24 hours. They dont care. Claimed it was “offensive”. I promise it was a striaght forward question and we deserve answers as to . And “they” found it offensive? nothing could have said “i dont care” more than that.
