Why does this happen so often? A wheel of pain can fit in a 4x4 foundation area. This is 6x5 with no roof. There’s nothing stopping or colliding with it

Try putting some foundations down so u are above your target to install helps with pet pens also

We’re aware that the placement of large placeables may be difficult to achieve in certain conditions, such as trying to center them on top of foundations.
Until its addressed please try offsetting its position slightly and rotating it while also experimenting with raising and lowering its default height.
I tried all of the above. Eventually I had to remove all walls and only then would it place.
Love this game but that is the most frustrating thing for someone who enjoys building
