Hey all! Happy Friday!
To start with, you may notice these notes aren’t as long as the ones recently pushed on TestLive. This is because the branch on TestLive requires a little more testing due to the changes and fixes made. However, we did want to roll out the AFK system and crash fixes before the weekend. So here we are!
Notes:
Localization fixes - text spills are now fixed for several item descriptions
Various crash fixes
Introduced the new AFK system - players will be kicked after 30 mins of inactivity
Server admins can use the following server settings for the AFK kicker:
KickAFKPercentage = 80 (integer value, between 0 and 100). The percentage controls how many players need to be logged on before the system starts to kick people. So if set to 80 then you need 32/40 players logged in before it will start to kick anybody.
If set to 0, the system should be off.
KickAFKTime = 2700 (integer value, in seconds). X is the amount of seconds of afk before a character is kicked, for example KickAFKTime=60 will kick people after 1 minute of afk
In addition to rolling out new and various servers, this AFK system should help with freeing up space to those who want to get on a particular server. Please don’t hesitate to give us feedback on this or anything else you see! After further testing has been done, we’ll roll out another patch with the other fixes from TestLive. We also plan on releasing the parity patch for Xbox and PS4 late next week.
Server admins can use the following server settings for the AFK kicker:
KickAFKPercentage = 80 (integer value, between 0 and 100)
KickAFKTime = 2700 (integer value, in seconds)
So what does the percentage do? Are we only kicking 80% of their body or is there an 80% chance that they will be kicked or is everyone kicked that was 80% of the last 2700s afk?
Is this included into server settings .ini file automatically? I as a private server admin, don’t want this setting to be active, must I delete it or set the % to 0 or maybe 100? Or the time to 60000s?
@Spynosaur_Nicole hey, when we can expect comeback of unconscious bodies to the game?
If you still remember you make unconscious bodies remains in the game by reason (vaulting exploit). It is not fun to raid empty bases one by one, (-
To counter the body vault exploit introduced on all official servers, I chose to let unconsious bodys remain in the world on my server and even though it is a g-portal server (like all officials), I do not experience serious lag issues.
I think allowing body vaulting exploit is way worse then some lag, so I’m utterly surprised this wasn’t hotfixed withing 24h.

Cna we please get a Server Message “Server going down in 5 minutes…” - would be great, I mean i was luckily in my house so I am not worried, but it’s just a quality of life change.
You are correct that this is a serious problem that needs to be fixed asap. However even if your specific server setup did not suffer from performance degradation there are game servers that did indeed have serious problems.
We are working on a feature for this which will allow us to alert you before patching. No ETA yet other than “soon”.
Will there be an option for the community set their servers as PvE-C? Was curious if we’d able to set flags in the INI files that allows servers to be displayed under PvE-C
