Hi Funcom Team,

I’m reporting a critical bug on the Official PVE Server (Sipah Island) that appears to be an exploit for Land Claim Abuse.

Location: Sipah Island, H11, North of the “Elephant Graveyard” (near a personal travel point).

The Issue: About 3-4 days ago, a castle structure I built in this location spontaneously “crumbled.” Instead of the loot bags falling to the ground and decomposing within minutes as per normal game mechanics, they are now floating indefinitely in the air.

Despite being my own property, the game now claims:

  • “You do not own this.”

Why This Matters:

  1. Persistence Bug: Loot bags have persisted for 3+ days without decaying, indicating a major failure in the world saving/decomposition system.
  2. Land Claim Exploit: This behavior creates an impenetrable “ghost claim” in a strategic high-ground area. Players could theoretically use this to block access to key locations indefinitely without triggering standard decay rules.

Evidence: I have attached screenshots showing the floating bags, the error messages, and the location.

Please investigate this chunk/saving error immediately and remove these objects to free the area. Additionally, I urge the team to look into how this specific bug can be used to bypass land claim rules.

Thank you,

Tolomeo

This is a current bug, there was a base that decayed there recently, but the bags remain (keeping the land claimed)

This isn’t limited to this area. There have been multiple reports of this happening on PVE servers. My understanding is that it happens when the building enters full decay and then is rendered by a player entering the area. This causes it to collapse leaving the bags (as would be normal), but for some reason (bug) the bags then remain persistent (and unlootable), through server resets.

This needs to be reported to Helpshift.
