Pet Crocodile spawns where he should not

Hello, new player, problem is as follows

for the second time now, for some reason my pet crocodile that i left in the forest area, has spawned next to me in the noob river, i left the croc in guard mode there, im leading thralls one by one back to the jungle area and i got killed on the way there, now i spawn in the noob river where the bedroll was and the croc was there, is this normal? is this a bug? what do?

Steps on how to reproduce issue:

  1. Leave croc in jungle base on guard mode
  2. Head to noob river base
  3. Lead thrall to jungle base
  4. Get killed on the way there and spawn on bedroll in noob river base
  5. Pet Spawns nearby

Welcome to our community.
When you leave your crocodile, did you select “Stop Following” or “Guard this position”? If the former, the crocodile would fall back into its last known guarded sport.

Hello, I selected the “Guard this position” when he was following me

I did once make him stay in that position on noob river once a while ago and there have been other later times where i made him “Guard this position” on other spots, why does he go back to the river?

Also, this is the second time it happens.

Is there any loss of data, as in, your game not saving properly? If the new guarding positions are not being saved, that could be the only explanation left. Otherwise, there could be a bug underlying in there.

possibly a bug, the croc has been the only one, will have to check on him later again, every other position seems the be saved
