Last nite I picked up Ares and Appollo at camp 35. So looks like maybe that camp spawns multiple versions. Was also cool that they had different coloring than Brutus.

Also finished leveling Brutus and good lord… monster damage.

Yes he 1-shots most things that doesn’t have a skull under their health bar, but he has very little armor and not much chance of getting it since his growth chance in agility is fixed to 40% + he takes very long pauses in fights, so anything strong with loads of armor will kill him pretty fast - Guess that is the trade-off for his insane damage

EDIT:
My level 20 Brutus has 810% strength melee damage bonus, 5241 hp and 260 armor, but he cannot take out any 3 skull boss, they will kill him very fast

what about feeding it with agility providing food? Will it by any chance balance his armor?

Well it will at least increase his chance of getting some armor, giving him raw pork will add 14% extra chance to agility, so it will help some.
As far as I can see the perks for playful puppies is fixed, it seems like they will always get the same 3 perks, and Brutus will get 3x15 to strength which eventually make him hard hitting + one thing you have to take into account is that besides the initial 40% chance in each attribute there’s only 66% left for additional rng attribute points, agility and accuracy is always fixed at 40%, so the only way to increase the chance min these 2 stats is by the diet(food) they eat while levelling, also the 66% extra rng chance to the 3 other attributes will mean that if one stat gets a high chance the others will get less.

Yes you can probably give Brutus a good chance of always points in strength, but he will most likely get the most from his perks, and while lots of strength is good, it doesn’t really matter much against strong enemies if his armor is weak, furthermore vitality also doesn’t matter much without a decent amount of armor and survival, so yeah Brutus is a beast damage wise, but his slow attacks and weak resistance to damage makes him more of a fun pet to experiment with, he will definitely do good against less strong enemies that don’t move too fast or a lot since he often miss when attacking those.
You can see what types of food gives that adds attribute chance to his levelling here:

Yeah, that was i exactly mentioned. So far my doggo got 388 armor on lvl13. I though that will be best balance for him cuz he will get his str from the perks, so going for agility is the way to balance that beast.

They spawn randomly. Also they follow the pet perk RNG thing too. I have a couple of Brutus and a couple of Apollo and each have different states from their twin. One of my Apollos is super strong, 80% to strength! Much higher than the Brutus though the Brutus gained extra in health also. I don’t think the name of the dog is going to determine how strong it will be. It’s still a toss of the dice in the Greater Dog pool of stats.

Hi Miss Oma, just discovered your youtube channel love it!

Yeah ofc they’re all born with different potentials, but the perks are static, +45 strength for Brutus is pretty huge ! Though my favorite would be Thor, as it is more balanced than Brutus with +30 strength, +5 agility and +10 vitality (also black feral dogs are my all time faves <3)
