True. But I think that’s every game ever released so far. I can think of a few that are slightly better but none that are truly good.
Maybe I’m too early but this is an area where game companies should be competing for dominance and striving for excellence. Can you imagine an AI system where NPCs smoothly morph between 20 or more motion cycles intelligently and in context - and where natural speech is both processed and replied to? We have that now pretty much already. Turn on “ask Google” on your phone for example - even with translation to and from other languages - then add the current state of AI language generation from GPT-3 and such + Text-To-Speech, and…
Well, when games have AI like that, then I’ll feel the need to complain about Conan. Until then it’s not that different from most others == bugged and disappointing.
Lol he is a console player and has a YT be stays away from forums for the reason alot of pvp players do. They get ignored or ridiculed by people who have 0 clue on pvp balance. Conan now days is a slowpaced game. Your characters movement is more limited than ever. The weapons attack animation is slower than ever. Also the fighting is slower than ever.
People got annoyed back in the days where it was “poke roll” meta they said. What is the meta now? Either you run horse with lance and 1-2 hitting people. Or you go bow 4 hitting people, or you have to "poke roll"more than ever since that what u have to do to get out of animation.
PVP now is more static then ever. Ofc you can use a sword or what ever, but most likely you would never manage to kill a decent player with anything else than with a spear, bow or horse.
I think main problem of combat that weapons is all based on damage.
For example daggers in other games they get their strength through Dex.
Daggers should hardly scale with strength but what they need to do is scale in combo cycle. Make heavy Stan drain where you get more use with high stam.
Make limiter on bleed on type weapon stones should only applie 1 -5 stacks at top.
Spears should have instant knock the persons off the horse.
Remove heavy attack on bow, and replace it as secondary arrow type. For example you can have oil arrow on light and explosive arrow on spot of heavy.
Heavy just fires same as light but you can map to different arrow. Reduce range of light attack as well.
I think picking up building pices instead try put down 10 doors I can place 3 doors and foundation. This would be mute if make doors strong as walls. Any real complaint about this is you just want raid easier.
I think rebalance in two types of building and tier system.
Plus I think higher tier furnace should reduce mat cost on stone tier two stone to brick 7 tier 3 stone 5.
Iron becomes 1 in tier 3 furnace
Maybe you play different game because if you disagree all these points, you should be irrilevant solo pve player that have no clue about pvp.
So, please, stop giving your feedback about pvp.

I personally really like the horses in combat, I think its really fun and unique to the game. Not many games even try to make mounts interesting or useable in combat and I think Conan made it work. It can always be more polished and fixed up more, sure, But it really is a very special feature that adds a good type of chaos to the game.
regarding Q lock.
It’s important to remember, that many players can not aim well and never will be able to aim well. Having options like Q lock and horses allow them to compete some. I think at some point skilled players see, that circling left around dagger spam, makes Q lock miss or by holding a shield up, lance get’s stopped in its tracks. So skilled players can over come q lock. But a none skilled player will never be able to aim. So I think its okay to have options for all players.
Or just force that none skilled player to learn how to aim.
There is people with no hands or arms who play games like Counter strike for an example, and doing pretty well. So saying that some people cant learn is just ignorant.
I kind of agree on horses, though more balance work needs to be done mounted combat should have its place, as a High tier pvp player myself I disagree with most of OP’s original post.
Q lock whining only really came with complaints of daggers being OP, daggers being OP only really came with siptah, maybe the problem is double apply poison sunder etc high damage siptah daggers?.
I use Q lock myself sometimes, if I need reorientation to a target, but the advantage of using an axe and free aim is I can strike multiple targets.
one thing I do agree with is weekend warriors official servers, weekend raid window only, hell id probably only play these servers myself, a week refractory build up period and raiding and combat on the weekend
Yes. Exactly that. And I dont think u meant people with handicap in first place either. And im pretty sure, if u want to learn you can do it.
So saying “people cant learn” or something similar to that is just looking down on these people. Removing Q lock wich is actually a bad thing for a game like this, also auto facing should be removed. Learn how to use the mouse instead of just clicking Q and start spamming.
They can learn to aim as it is what will add skill to the game. Lances glitch through shields on some of my tests and depending on lag can do whatever they want. Theyre too over tuned. Horses HP need to be nerfed bad and or spear get an automatic dismount upon attack since phalanx was really a warfare strat and so was archery. Those 2 should be a good and effective counter to the cav in this game in order to keep it. Although it takes the ground pvp which was day 1 of their goals to valance and makes it almost irrelevant…but to make them more fairly balanced that would need to be done. Lances need to be nerfed or removed to keep it more balanced other than that. Nothing else can really be said. Mounted combat and lock on are technically lower end skill mechanics since it wasnt originally intended and was added over time since everyone wanted them to be there. Lock on was Okay back when the fast roll could get you the distance and time to counter but since the distance and the speed was toned down ALOT there seems to be a disconnect of how useful the lock on is and how it makes weapons stronger than they need to be and or items. Thats just my opinion on it
