So i need to understand this before im gonna waste my time
When the “new” game is comming, i can save my character but not my base, i understand that. In the FAQ it says that i can dismantle my base and keep materials to build again
Does that mean that i can be encumbered?
If i make 65 camels with all my loot, how do i get it to spawn in the new world when im ready for that?
BONUS: What about anti-cheat, i am not PC-engineer og good to understand PC or mechanics, but can this update help with flybases and the blatant cheating that has been going on for years on official servers? (I am official PVP player normally) Did Funcom mention anything about this? It has filled the forums for long time, and i never saw a response from any employee or anything like that.
If i have a base on Exiled Lands, will it get removed?
Thanks all and looking forward to the new experience.
I simply dont understand this… Can anyone help me?
Official Servers: If you play on an official UE4 Exiled Lands server on Steam, your server will be updated to UE5 with everything carrying forward in the update. *Your character, followers, and bases should not be affected.**
(NOTE) Note: You will retain your character level, progress, inventory, and followers, but will not be able to retain your bases or any other items placed in the world. To facilitate rebuilding, you can dismantle your base and store the materials and other items you wish to take with you in your followers’ inventories.
Does that means that if im on Exiled Island i also keep my base? I think its easy to misunderstand ** Maybe i keep the foundations but not the placeables?
I tried recent transfer feature they set. When you appears on the ground you must put a foundation first. Then you go to Followers menu and right click on each and summon them near the foundation. They will appear with their inventories
As far as I am aware, after your character is transfered from Siptah (if everything is working) you should be able to place your followers from the follower tab. You may need to create a small base first so they have somewhere to be placed.
No idea about anti-cheat. The update is primarily about graphics and UI, rather than systems, so I’d guess probably not much change there.
As I understand it, bases on the Exied Lands should be fine, it’s only Siptah that is being ‘dismantled’.
Your other two questions -
is the statement that all Exiled Lands stuff should be fine (so long as you want the update - if you want to stay on the old version of the game then you would need to server transfer your character off the official servers onto a private before the update comes out).
This statement is meant to be about Siptah, not Exiled Lands. If you have a character there, then you would need to dismantle your base and put as much stuff as possible into your followers’ inventories. Then that character and all its followers should transfer automatically to a start zone on an Exiled Lands server, to be deployed as explained above. (But be aware, there are some concerns about how this is going to work with clans - who ‘owns’ the followers? So who do they follow during the transfer process?)
Basically, if you are on Exiled Lands and want the update (which you have to have to continue playing on officials), then you shouldn’t have to do anything - it should all work for you, and you should keep everything. (But that is assuming that everything works as intended.)
I am playing single-player Siptah and I don’t have Transfer Server option. All I can do is Copy Character, and that’s zero thralls, not even the ones following you.
I don’t mind rebuilding my base (which I just dismantled and put in my thrall’s inventory) but losing all of my thralls? Even my horse?
What do I do now? I can’t play in Exile Lands, it might get wiped by the Server Transfer. I can’t play in Siptah, it might all get wiped by not using the Server Transfer.
Me too. But as I just said in another thread, I’m the sort of player that doesn’t mind starting over, so I don’t mind losing it all. I’m sorry for you.
The best suggestion I can come up with is that you may be able to use a mod called ‘Amunet’s Server Transfer’ (or something close to that) to salvage some of your followers before the deadline. I’ve never used the mod myself, so I don’t know how it works, but it might be possible to install it, transfer your character and horse to an Exiled Lands save and then go back and forth with War-Party to salvage as many followers as you can. As I say, I can’t be sure it will work, but it might at least be worth looking into.
That only applies to multiplayer. I’m pretty sure Server Transfer never worked for Singleplayer. (I could be wrong, but as far as I’m aware, Singleplayer is its own server, so hard to transfer using the same style of coding.) Still worth looking into though - hopefully they get the problems fixed soon and get it back up and running - then at least it might be a possibility.
It was working with single player as well as with multiplayer. But you couldn’t transfer your char from modded server (even from single player) to non modded official and vice versa
The most important question now is 1 from main message. Because one of the rules during the recent server transfer feature (which was apparently a test before a major patch) was that you couldn’t have an overweight character. Will this rule still apply? What happens if a character is overweight and the migration begins? I hope this rule won’t be in effect, and you can load up your character to capacity.
I set my topic about this as well but it wasn’t approved still. idk reasons
Excellent news. Then hopefully it’s just a matter of them getting it fixed in time and our friend here should be alright. (Surely they can’t leave it switched off for much longer under the current circumstances… But if they can’t resolve why it’s crashing servers… )
I think this Migration is different and you don’t need to do transfer yourself. You must only pack your stuff in inventories and distroy your base (optional)

I did not get that from the blog post at all. For Exile Lands, you don’t need to do anything; but you have to get your Siptah character to Exile Lands first!
Which you do using the Server Transfer tool. Which is currently… turned off.
I got 1 thrall followed me and 1 camel. All my and their inventories were full packed. My inventory was full to capacity and not be overencumbered. I even ate some food for buff and it worked. THEN when I put my char into cloud I went to another Siptah official server and boom I’ve got ALL my thralls in Follower tab. Not only my 1 followed thrall and camel. Lucky? Idk maybe it is working as intended
I really appreciate your comment but I don’t understand it. What does “put my char into cloud” mean? What does “went to another Siptah official server” mean?
Do you mean you used Server Transfer to go from one official Sitpah server to a 2nd, and only had two followers; and then used it again to go to 3rd official server, and got all your followers?
Are you sure you didn’t have your followers in the 2nd one (you have to place a foundation to see them, apparently).
Ok once again. All happend on official Siptah server
1 - I set 1 thrall to follow me and my camel too
2 - I used server transfer in menu and my character was transfered to funcom cloud
3 - I entered into another official Siptah server and put 1 sand foundation.
4 - I went to Follower tab and saw all my thralls in list. They were grey colored. I right clicked on each of them and put them all on the ground. SO I got not just 1 thrall and camel but all my 9 thralls including horse and camel
I don’t know if that worked as intended. But it is truth. I did it myself
And then maybe 2 hours later they disabled Transfer Was it me a reason? Idk
However, I don’t think it’s very helpful. All of the official Siptah servers are going away, so why are you transferring from one to another? You’re just whistling past the graveyard, mate.
What you need to do is transfer to Exile Lands, wait for the merge, and then teleport back to Siptah and rebuild.
My problem is a little different; I only have a single-player Siptah character, and I have over 50 thralls. I would like to transfer to Exile Lands, but all I can do is Copy Character, and that takes no thralls at all.
