Potion of Midnight

I used midnight often to do hide runs. I was the secondary farmer of the clan so opted to take on that responsibility often. I love the Midnight Grove because I find it beautiful.

I used the potion to get there asap. Time is important in PVP right? It was a convenience to do so of course and not a requirement but I enjoyed that convenience.

And hell ya we had Midnight’s to bug out. Most of the clans we fought against were cheaters, either hacking or exploiting, if we confirmed it we got out.

While I appreciate your concerns about exploits not everyone uses them. I did not. My clan did not.

Wanting Midnight Potions to stay in game at base is not an indication of being a cheater. Broaden your horizons a bit.

You can use circle of power summon corpse. Its also a cheap way back.
You can put loot in thralls and pets to bring back to base, without climbing or running.
You just glad they removing something you dont use, but also dont want to see others using it.

Big clans have maprooms in bases to run if they have to, they can also use circle of power in second base,

Midnight potion is most useful for solos who are forced to hide. Because a lot of times clan of 10 doesn’t show respect and just wipe for no reason

You can still use the grove to do hide runs…just map too brimstone then run for a few minutes … if you forget the ingredients kill the scorpion, buy the potion
Iv also used it to loot out, back when it wasn’t as easy to grind…
I never said it meant you were cheating I just indicated that the cheaters/cheese raiders use or need it more than the “legit” solo players

I made a thread a while ago that Kurak needed to be fixed that’s all I cared about really, sag was just a bonus ( it’s funny watching everyone log in their alts that they bugged in there :joy:)

If you read the original post his base is that small he can’t put big stations down he needs to stay hidden ( either that or it does not fit)Limited slots with thralls , I farm I know that can be tedious but if you want to play that way then hey go for it I have no problem with that …

Who said I didn’t use it, I just didn’t rely on it as a way to teleport out of my base or to get to the city

Your experience compared to mine is probably completely different, i wouldn’t try compare each other’s … 10 man clans are nicer than solos that hide in rat holes to me :+1:

:ok_hand::+1:

You will find that solo probably gets raided because he likes to offline n hide in a rat hole

I’ve never had my base fully wiped as a solo player by a big clan it’s the offline solo players that like to do that, but the sad thing is they usually go for newer players too that have no idea where to start looking for these sorts of bases . If it makes it more difficult for them then :ok_hand:

Changed Potion of Midnight crafting location to a crafting station near the Werehyena that teaches the recipe. This station is the only place where the Potion of Midnight can be crafted

Why would players need to craft a potion on site in a special cauldron just to consume it seconds later? I mean wouldn’t it be easier to just add an on site portal - instead of adding a brand new crafting station?
Or - if we are talking about some kind of entry fee - open said on site portal using raw mats - just like we open Barrow Kings den with blood?

Moving it to an on site only station seems a bit pointless. Who would bring the mats out there to craft it when the npc right next to it sells it for feral flesh? And creatures that give feral flesh spawn right next to it on top of that…
They should have just removed the potion and added a permanent portal…

I am also confused about this, it doesn’t really make sense, it should be a portal like all other dungeons
However if the timer is still 30 seconds after chapter 3 or maybe a bit more then it might be possible to put down a teleport close to the cauldron and quickly transport it to a fridge at a base

If i was farming kurak, then i wouldve used kurak dungeon to teleport back because it wouldve been free. Otherwise circle of power most of the time to recall corpse because screw 15 min climbs.

You clearly have poor opinions of solo players. Generally when I play, I play to eliminate sky basers, undermeshers, and hackers. When you’re fighting hackers, your best bet is to build small, away, and hidden. Anything less is found very quickly. Taking this away will only give away my positions earlier to those players. It makes my playstyle to free you of those types of players, less effective. So you may have a poor opinion of me because I’m 95% of the time a solo, but you reap the benefits of having me if you’re on the same server (unless you’re a cheater). Every solo isn’t like this. But if anyone adopts my playstyle, they also can more effectively hide from hackers longer. I understand hackers are the minority, but often on servers they are my primary threat. I’ve seen high pop servers wiped in a a few days to a week because a hacker group comes there. Twice, I’ve avoided being found on servers being full wiped by those groups with my playstyle.

Again I don’t compare peoples experiences in game, I can only go from my own, but I play solo and as a big clan
I’ve never relied on a potion to get out of base

I get the point but your failing to see the other side too
I’m a solo that builds a base that is not hidden, I get offline raided by a solo player as the alpha clan already realise I’m no threat and I probably don’t have much of what they need…fair play, I go scouting to find the culprits and get some revenge (because I’m not the type of player to just leave after I get wiped)

Whoooo what do ya know they are in a mesh spot (or hidden in the volcano and I don’t want to climb it for the 1000th time that week) and even if I manage to find bomb placement I’m not retrieving any of my stolen loot… or I punch through a wall and see a fridge probably stacked with sag potion. Yes I could go camp the dungeon exit but where’s the fun in that ….

I play Xbox hacking is not really a thing on there

Devs must find a way, i don’t agree for the total removal

Like Ymir has “special” priest we can have a special priest as well for midnight potion. Totally removing it it’s bad! Yet i believe that the greatest reason of removing this potion is to give to players reason to go to Den. Now in pve servers the future is “mushrooms” of tp stones

But they’re not telling us why they’re doing this. I wish they would so we don’t have to speculate.

Are they removing Midnight Grove in the future? Updating it? Introducing a new dungeon and along with it, a new potion?

It just feels like the world boss chest fiasco all over again.

If it is to combat skybases and undermeshes then just fix them!

Frankly I keep in the know about cheats as much as I can. By and large, they don’t use potions of midnight. They don’t have to.

I never said that midnight alchemy escape was a cheat. All i said is that they have mechanisms that allow trolling in this game. Simply removing these mechanisms is not a solution.
Imagine Siptah without surge? :man_shrugging:

Yup! Sorry I was just replying in general XD

I find this whole thing suspicious y’know?

Same here. Although i reacted to the op intentions of keeping a mechanic for the most lame reasons, i don’t like the removal either. Yet i don’t know if it’s removal or transportation, i don’t have beta and i don’t use pc.
Then again, removing a mechanic like it should had an announcement the least.
Have you find any announcement about it?

Nothing other than in the notes for the update. No reasoning, just that it is being removed from the bench and being placed at a static location near the Child.

I did not watch the stream though, maybe there’s reasoning there? We don’t have the benefit of Multigun or darthphysicist’s rundowns anymore and I’ve been very busy myself.

Hello Ruzaak and welcome to the Conan Exile forums.

From memory, Jhebal-Sag’s child is located opposite the main desert dog camp.
Slightly to the north east are remains of the civilization of the giants, you will notice large bones in front of one of these remains, the NPC is there.
Now if for some reason he’s not born there!!
For information, what game mode are you playing? online, solo-co-op?
