Problems with the settings of the thralls

Hello,

I have a general criticism of the behavior of the thralls.

When my character has entered a house and wants to leave, the faithful block the exit. If I select the command ‘Go away’, the faithful leave for a short moment, but then return to the position where they were standing before. Is it possible to set it so that they remain in the position they were in when the command was given? Or do you have to set the ‘follow’ distance higher?

I’m also constantly annoyed by the combat behavior of the followers. When I shoot at an enemy NPC with my bow, only the archers and the ordinary warriors move with a delay of a few seconds. Why don’t all warriors attack at the same time? What is the best way to set the ‘Attack’ or ‘Follow’ function?

How can I set it so that the loyal warriors protect me from the attacks of my opponents and the opponents can’t constantly hit me first?

Thank you for your help.

I learned fairly early on to my put two doors at every entry/exit. I either put the doors next to each other or spaced 1-2 blocks apart.

Also, thralls seem to have issues getting through some doorways; depending on the building set. I did some testing a while back. Thralls, and other NPCs like bar patrons, would stop at most building set door ways, but run right through others.

It pains me to say it, but thralls are a complete mess at this point. I don’t know if this is only on the PS5, but they are basically decoration. Get them pretty and leave them at base. You can manage alone. Their AI is a trainwreck.

Unfortunately, you have not understood the problem properly. I’m talking about buildings in NPC camps, not your own buildings.

Perhaps I should increase the ‘follow’ distance so that the followers don’t block my exit from the buildings.

I would also be interested to know how you can set it so that the followers attack all enemies and not just one? The function ‘command the followers to attack’ (‘E’ key) primarily only refers to a single selected NPC. Very often I then have to defend myself against other opponents who are not blocked by the faithful.

Yes, old problem. Usually going into first person, pointing to a spot and command the thrall to move does the trick. On PvE, use a katana to dash.
Thralls should attack all enemies if they are set to the agressive/chase stance, but sometimes they act funny. Distances are also a little finicky, but these settings work most of the time.
