In the YouTube 2023 recap they note we take the fight to Mek…
Haha.
We take the fight to Kurak, those who engage in the Age of Sorcery activities are serving as Mek’s minions.

The key here is what has never been easier. Is it [defending] or [defending fortress walls]?
Most likely the sentence means that defending becomes easier, in which case the singular “has” is correct. The other interpretation (where “have” would be correct) would mean that those fortress walls are doing the defending, rather than someone else defending the walls; and the walls have become easier, which makes no sense.

to come to be without (something in one’s possession or care), through accident, theft, etc., so that there is little or no prospect of recovery: I’m sure I’ve merely misplaced my hat, not lost it.
to fail inadvertently to retain (something) in such a way that it cannot be immediately recovered: I just lost a dime under this sofa.
