I have suddenly been experiencing game crashes multiple times per day every day, even though I have 2 auto restarts set every day. G-Portal is telling me it’s a game issue. Does anyone know why this is happening,if it’s happening to anyone else and when is the next update supposed to come out?
My private gportal ps4 server crashes 2 to 3 times a month and I turn it off a bit typically gportal shows it is on. Have gone for weeks with out a crash. Mine is a 20 players not very busy at least when I am awake. You may want to give more information for @Hugo
Last Saturday I had what was a server crash my wife and I both could not find our server turned out psnplus was having issues. I am going to bump some people who may be able to help. @Ignasi @Hugo @WhatMightHaveBeen if they don’t have a answer perhaps they know would.
Best i can do is find out if anyone is building under the map. As a n admin, you can ghost anywhere to verify. Most common areas are under sinkhole, unnamed city, and the areas between Savannah/Den/Red Mountains and Highland/Mounds. This could be causing drain on the .db when getting loaded by the players, as these are areas are not meant to be part of the loading process as far as player items go. Another player created issue are some cheesy building techniques that can overload the server when they are loaded. Stacking certain building techniques causes calculation errors for stability, etc. Bu if you trust your player base, then i don’t have much. more And since you are on PS4, you can’t get the .db file to send to Funcom so they can check it. Sorry.
Peoples I am a purely Offline Singleplayer and even I am now experiencing an increased rate of crashes on my game too. So this issue may not be related to Gportal. On average Conan Exiles is now crashing every 1 to 1.5 hours for me. This is a fairly recent phenomena for me, as while I have crashes every now and then, they are usually few and far between. I have a suspicion that it might be related to the most recent Playstation 4 System Update (version 7.50). It certainly wouldnt be the first time an update has effected the game in this way. I have also seen a sharp spike in stutter while I playing and roaming around in-game. Has anyone else experienced this…!?
Also @Hugo we should probably move this to the PS4 section as it is a performance issue? EDIT: I will also give @Barnes a shoutout and see if he can offer any input here.
Hi there, fellow PS4 player!! I am experiencing the same problem, mainly when I’m in the thrall inventory ( changing their names and putting on their new armor). Especially bearers were causing so much crashing that I’ve started to avoid them like the plague.
Hey everybody who’s having a crash, or more crashes than normal, are you playing on a physical disc-based version of CE, or is it downloaded to your PS4? Are any of you experiencing crashes when hardwired? Are any of you running WiFi?
For background, my hardwired machine in my study has been experiencing more lockups recently, while the WiFi PS4 in the basement has been actually a bit more stable than usual.
I will log on today for a bit. But i haven’t played much since the Sony 7.5 patch. I believe @Croms_Faithful mentioned they started having issues then.
@WhatMightHaveBeen While I cant say for absolute certain, Im sure the rate has spiked greatly since the last update. And @Barnes I am playing the disc version, using only a hotspot connection from time to time, but primarily playing 100% offline. For me they occur all over the map, but most commonly in areas where there is a lot to render, such as Flotsam, New Asgaard and my base.
I’ve been experiencing my game crashing a lot more myself. It’s what prompted me to make an account and come here. I have a ps4 hooked to wifi, playing offline, downloaded version not disc; and it always crashes when I equip armor. Happens at least 2-3 times per play period. It’s getting really frustrating.
PS4 single player here. No disc/digital download and I have wifi for internet. I’ve also been getting freezes and crashes since the last PS update. Prior, it was stable with no problems.
Zooming through the menu too fast tends to lock up the game for me. Also, accessing the menu mid-animation causes problems too, like the engine is playing catchup and blitzes when you give it too much input to handle at one time. But again, that’s after the update. Prior, no issues.
@WhatMightHaveBeen how did you find your game been performing since downloading the update? Did you end up with the crashes too or did you have good fortune on this one?
Hello and apologies for the delay in our response, we’ve moved this topic to the PS4 bug report section of the forums.
Please make sure to continuously send the crash reports through the PS dashboard when this issue happens so our team can get a hold of them and look into the cause.
Thanks for the reply Hugo. Will do.
