PS4 Patch 3.0.1 - Discussion Megathread

I logged a bunch of time with the game over the past 3 days, and wanted to share my observations.

I was very pleasantly surprised that a patch was pushed out on Sunday, I cannot thank the Team enough for the timely response.

After the update, many of the issues present before seem to have been addressed.

A few things that are still issues for me:
My Greater Shaleback is still invisible frequently, my other followers appear as expected.

There seem to be some texture rendering issues on some things, for example I was wearing the Kambujan set, and I was swimming. The inside of the Kambujan Wrap texture was transparent.

With the new building mechanics, some of the text is inaccurate when using the Quick Wheel commands. For Example, with regular building pieces, the text says “Remove”. However, for Workbenches and Wheels of Pain, the texts says “Pick Up”, but actually destroys the object returning the materials to the inventory. While the result is consistent with the new Building System, the text is confusing.
Items made with Hammer, are disasembled, while items hand crafted, or made in the Artisan’s Bench are returned to the Inventory.
Currently, the text is the same for both in the Quick Wheel.

My Twitch Drops are not working correctly. My Twitch account is linked, and the Watcher items appear in the Knowledge Tab, but I cannot activate them.

At login there is a significant amount of time before all the assets load in.
This might be related to some of the rather large builds on the Server.

I did have a theory about the initial load in issue- It seems to be linked to the ‘Daytime at login’ feature of the game. As the game actually syncs with the actual time of the Server, things seem to pop in at that time.

Can we get Midnight Alchemist easier on Siptah? It’s the only safe method to reset attributes at this time and since 3.0, redoing attributes is important.

I know what you are saying.
I learned that the hardway too.
If I pick it up it should go back into my inventory.
Not the 100% resources you put into it. Then you have to make it again. Hassle.

I gave up on PVP 6 months ago when there was a 7 day PVP window,
I couldn’t believe FUNCOM would do that. Nobody can maintain a base 7 days a week from what 6 til 11pm. Everyone faces burnout, that’s not a game that’s a job.

That stupid bomb glitch didn’t help matters!!! (still angry about that).

PVE and PVE-C look to be amazing, lots of quality of life, Reskinning, Events, (even in SOLO play, as I wait for bugs to get sorted before investing again in online play). New Game is gorgeous, if somewhat slow to load textures, etc. but PVP dude, the fact you lasted as long as you have good on ya. PVP is ridiculous unless you are strictly a raider.

PVP, FUNCOM makes it impossible to have (keep) nice things.

worth mentioning, you probably already know, this but drinking Yellow Lotus Potion is reported to randomly but completely remove Arcane Knowledge, so (Fast Elevators, Whirlwind Blades), etc. I haven’t heard about Bestial Knowledge doing this, just throwing it out there for ya.

I know Midnight Alchemist is why I server jumped, it was a pain at the time.

…And I guess the lvl 60s I uploaded to FUNCOM disappeared at patch update?
Does anybody know how long an uploaded char exists before it times out? I think I lost 3 uploaded lvl 60s loaded to 95% with thralls and gear. gentle sobs

The addition of the ability to hold the Triangle button the equip/unequip currently held weapon/shield is a nice feature.
I am not sure when this was added, but I discovered it after the Update.

Harvest Rates seem to have increased since the Update. Was this an intended change?

Its probably already been mentioned but improved fish traps are not craftable at the moment because the regular fish traps are required to craft and they can no longer be placed into inventory. Also, fish trophies do not dismantle anymore. Neither by placing and dismantling manually or placing in dismantle bench.

I confirmed the cave in EL that PVE and PVP works and in Siptah, PVE works. Not giving spoilers to where that cave is but I did confirm these in those servers.

In EL i am already a sorcerer but I read about the undermesh problem on siptah and was little bit scared. Good to know its solved!

I see an xbox thread saying they are still having issues but yeah I was really hesitant on Siptah because I saw the same reports but since I only had one sigil active at that time…why not.

Just tried to play again tonight, lasted just over three minutes before the game froze (PS4, Single Player, 3.0.1 Patch installed) trying to access my inventory. Prior to freezing lag was signficant and I continue to fall into the ground.

Does anyone from Funcom have any intention of acknowleding these issues and letting us know what (if anything) they plan to do to fix them? This game has now been unplayable for me since the 3.0 upgrade. If it’s any encouragement at all for you to try and fix it, I fully intend to buy a Battlepass (and whatever takes my fancy in the Bazaar - I actually want to give you money but I can’t while my game is unplayable.

lightning continues to destroy everything inside the base through the ceilings of the wall and other things. even if the base is in ruins closed by natural walls, it does not matter that lightning breaks through natural walls and destroys everything inside.
the pvp game has become unplayable, I don’t know if this was done on purpose or not

Bombs are very broken.
We used 60 bombs for destroy 1 foundatios. They are always bugged, no splash damage. It needs a real quick fix because you can’t raid in official servers and this is pointless.

Is there any word on expected time for a stable game? Download recent patch and my game still crashes before loading.

Really frustrating that this update was released like this. Really feel Funcom/Sony never should have allowed this to slip through testing/QA/QC. Would seem it should be rolled back before 3.0 Sorcery until stable.

Having bought every DLC and been playing since day 1, this may be end now. Decay timer drove me to single player about 2 years ago, and can’t even get solo to work now.

Yes. The they broke the stamina again. I am always tired. I run 10 secs with heavy armour, I have no stamina. Its like they wreck things to get negative attention. I guess they were abused children.

Playing on PS5, invisibility bug is still present. Especially in Sepermeru. Tents, tables, chairs, barrels, any asset of that nature are not rendering at all. So you walk into Conan’s bar and it’s an empty room with 2 floating notes since the counters they’re supposed to be on are not loading in. Also cloth and “other” physics will randomly stop working.
