We’re trading a broken system that more people try to avoid then you think; go to any PVE server and see how over built the nopurge zone is.

There are 47 different purges, with different enemies, from humanoid purges such as berserkers, nordheimers, the darfari, cultists etc, to beastly purges such as rocknose(which is one of the most brutal purge), wherewolves, insects, spiders and frost giants. There’s a lot of variety in the old purge system and the current purge is just the stygian faction with some variations of conscripts and khitan soldiers in-between.
This is a downgrade, and will get boring really fast.

It turns out that gold is not lost when initiating a purge, as i thought initially, unless it is stolen, which can also be recovered anyway. The chapter 2 purge is free and can be spammed too easily. This should be adressed. Greater Surges on Sitpah cost those ??? things, why should the new purge be free?

Have you tried to pick up and transport a large treasure?
Give it a try you’re going to draw more then just stygian raiders.

None the less I’m more then happy to trade that bugged out piece of :poop: purge system for a drop a coin in the slot and play raid system.

At least with this system I wont have avalanche spawn in side my keep that he is bigger then, and my keep literally explode. You may enjoy that :poop: but I certainly don’t.

The old purge system is tedious to get it started but the variety was a really nice thing about it that could be added to chapter 2.

Btw, thnx for the info about big treasures that might influence the purge outcome. I’ll try it out.

You want to have real fun, once you get back to your keep just drop the treasure, don’t put it in your treasury. Pick it up again a run around a bit, let the fun begin. I don’t have a treasury set up yet, so had to take the purple dragon down the beach to stop the various raiders.

Cooking T3 mats.

Players complain that bases are too easy to destroy in pvp, response from funcom: we will give away free bombs with the new purge system. :rofl:

Hello, I don’t like to spoil parties or make negative comments towards one of my favorite games. But let’s be real this time. Will this update be entertaining? Will it keep players active in the game? Will it be so entertaining that this fun will last until A.O.W 3? I proposed a system of countermeasures against attacks on bases. The backpack bombs could be, I don’t know, some kind of slaves gathered in a cellar with doors. Than sensing the threat of attack, get out of the wooden room and chase the enemy until it explodes. Manufactured wars: the last ones standing are the winners and will be decorated. In short, if your army dies, you die. pve against factions of the game. pvp for bloodlust. There are many unused locations in the game with flat terrain behind the green barrier for these events. desert, islands, snowy prairie. If the activity is active with players inside and other players decide to join, they will be given the choice of which clan they want to help out. Example: Wizards vs. Wolves I will help the wolves as hired warriors. the flags show the team to choose.


20 vs 20 npc It works great on consoles or in waves of less than 10 on 10. I have test videos. The bombs should cost 300 and 500 gold.

slave room pump: Thralls are now like ammo that will reduce a clan’s excess thralls in pvp. It could also reduce the illegal bases in the game to test the new defense features. 20 slaves in the room. The only thing that would save this era 2 a bit is that you would add more things to buy at the merchant with gold, I don’t know clothes, jewelry, tableware, ammunition. things that gamers need at a bit of a high price. Because at the end of the month you’re already bored. So many riches and I can’t buy anything.

Here is my feedback after almost 5 years of playing Conan. Hope game designers read this.
What is great and why I have played for so long:

  • Full nudity + decent body models and movements, even boobies jump! - I really enjoy this.
  • Experienced player can get lvl 60 and some legendary weapon and have fun in PVP only after 2-4 hours on new server. This is really great! unlike many other games where u must grind your fingers to dust for before u can win in PVP.
    What is horrible and killing this game:
  1. 5+ players fighting in one place = heavy lags and teleports (no matter official or private server). This is just the worst.
  2. Too long raid time. For most ppl it’s too much to guard their base for 5 hours every day. U don’t guard 5 hours every day - u loose everything in 15 minutes.
  3. No legal way to save loot. Experienced players use body vaults. There should be simple, fun and easy to use legal mechanics for this.
  4. Critical bugs are still there. People build under the map, in the sky and in the green zone.
  5. Cheaters are still there - all kinds of unfair advantages for so called “golden fingers”. But this is rather BlindEye’s fault then game devs.

What is just bad.

  • No parring mechanics.
  • No blocking mechanics for weapons. There are shields but let’s be fair - they are junk and almost no one use them because at most crucial moment they often fail you.
  • No aiming support mechanics at all. You often fail to hit an opponent which is right in front of you, hitting air instead. It feels unrealistic and frustrating. I would like it to be implemented same as in New World, where if you look at your target your hit never miss unless opponent use dodge, parring or block.
  • No aiming support and bad auto focus implementation + lags + “roll meta” = you hit air 19 out of 20 times - very frustrating, annoying and stupid.
  • Building rules are too vague, most restrictions should be automated and not judged by admins. Which leads to the “report meta” when ppl abuse report system.
  • Merchants implementation is frustrating - u have to waste a lot of time to buy what u want. And u can not buy any weapon or armor u want. I think some normal shop is needed, not his half-random and very limited system.

What is bad in Age of War.

  • Sorcerer builds were fun to use, but nerfing Grit perk from 25% to 33% makes those builds unplayable.
  • Unbalanced craftable melee weapons. Only craftable spears are really usable and good (lemurian trident which have been meta for years already). And craftable catana for example is unusable - no dmg at all. Also u can not buy legendary katana anywhere so ppl are not using it.
  • “Roll meta”. I don’t think it is as bad as many ppl complain but… it’s bad. If you add lags and bad aiming support u hit air 19 of 20 times - this is frustrating and not fun.

With the new purge system the walls are basically cosmetic for pve players because the purge goes to the door. Yes, I know they probably would do the same in real life and the walls are to make them go to the door but it makes the new system lack danger like the old system. Why not have the new purge attacking walls to get to the treasure too that would make having defense all around the base have a purpose and would fix the pathing issue that it has now.

I really hope this isn’t the future of you trying to make the purge a quick castle rush system… I would like to see a mix of the old system and then new when it comes down how they attack your base and i actually like the possibility of having different people/creatures attacking the base with different themes/ages. If the purge system gets ruined for pve players this will just be a building sim game with no real danger. Thanks for the other improvements but this will be a gamebreaking one for me if I only have to protect the door.

Add more A.I. process space to get past the grit. Here, it is slow, like a nag to get RTX. :smile:

Thats because they allowed an out for purges. Now they just allow another way out. So basically they spent (wasted) time creating a new version of something no one has use for an called it a Chapter. Nothing in the new purge makes me want to do it anymore than dealing with the old purge. At least the old purge was something i monitored to avoid or prep for. Now i can spend all my time faceplanting bosses, so there is that.

Oh I beg to differ. I hated the old purges, when my purge meter got close I just took a few days off, played 7days or something. I avoided it, if there wasn’t a way to do that, I’d have quit when they went wonky.

Now this is different, this I can plot and plane for, this I want to make happen.

So testing out the purge and FC, seriously I need Thrall Pots fixed (Single Player, PC, Steam, No Mods, Exiled Lands). I stuffed one full of lasting feasts and 5 cimmyberks took maybe 2 at the most against waves of a level X purge. Not cool.

I think it’s better to have the purge attack the doors than walls. It won’t be used by players to destroy other bases in an exploity way, and shows that your purge enemies are smarter. It allows for more room to plan a purge and possibly have fun doing tower defense, stage massive battles just the way you like.

The new purge system is so good, combined with the fast stamina regen, I have to be honest, I’m having a blast fighting purges on test.

this is unbalanced. If we will not have a protection bubble, the less we need a God in an attack. we need more siege weapons if you intend to eliminate religions

I understand what you’re saying when it comes to a pvp server but it turns walls on a pve server just for style not for protection for the most part. That’s good for people that love tier 1 walls. We’ll see what happens either way the pathing needs to be fixed and I can always make my walls out of all doors if i want a sense of more danger. :slight_smile: I wish they would just keep the old purge and add the new purge system too seeing it’s an opt in purge.

As in AoW Chap. 1, delved recipes still aren’t giving the Epic versions. Is this a bug or is this intentional? If intentional, I would suggest you rethink that decision, as it would make delving completely worthless and a waste of good Eldarium.

In my opinion there is a big bug you still have to fix. Infinity zombies following or make a limit for zombies because they completely lag the server when a clan summon 200 zombies.
Another good nerf should be the great axe. The damage is stupid.
And plus, make the hammer attack faster because rn the pvp is just great axe and spear.
I miss when every damn weapon could be used and not only great axe and spear.
A solution for stamina could be introducing again the grey bar when there is the stamina regeneration, if you don’t want to put less the time of stamina regeneration.
