Purge is going down if you're not playing

I’m not playing Conan non stop and I do it almost every day or every 2 days. If I login at 7pm and play for few hours let’s say I manage to get the purge bar increasing a bit. Now if I’m logging back in the next day at 7pm again that bar is completely gone. I’m on a pve server and maxed out so I’d be very happy with purge at least once a week but the bar is always gone.
Please make the purge bar stopping from going down when disconnected

Yeah… It really sucks. I have no problem if it gets reduced, if you dont play for to long.

During the week, I can only play at night… And all the purge bar progress I get, will be gone the next day… Because I didnt log in for >15 hours… Well guess what, I have to work and have other things todo.
I only get much purge bar progress at the weekend and if I play much…

@Hugo can you ask the devs if this is really intended? Maybe dont remove so much from the purge bar… Reduce the “going down by > 50%”.
We want PURGES!! But we cannot play 24/7…

I am not sure, what activities you have. For me It is, that I have to stop playing online after a while for 2-3 days, because the purge meter fills too fast and I do not want purges in the moment
I am also on official PvE XBox and maxed out.
Farming sepermeru and killing treasure/hunters or bosses/mini-bosses in unknown city fills up the purge meter pretty fast ……

You play in a clan or not? How much hours a day?

Not really… Most things are time-based. So it doesnt matter if you kill >100 humans within 15 mins or 1. Only 1 counts.

Quote: " The system works on a periodic scoring system. If anyone in a clan performs an action in that period – e.g. kill a player, build something etc., then that event is added to the list of events that have been performed in that period. The amount of times an action is performed and the amount of players that perform it, is irrelevant. A clan that kills 1 NPC will receive the same score as a clan that kills 1000. Every update cycle, the Purge events are added together and the score is added to the Purge meter. All Purge events are then cleared for the start of the next period."

Play in my own 1-Clan. Time is different, last time 3-5 hours per day on weekends (have a job & family) during week 2-3 hours (not every day). I know that article, but say what i experienced the last 3 weeks

I need way more than 10 days to trigger a purge… And I kill really much stuff and mostly anything. Never have to take a break because the purge bar is to high… I would be happy as flip

What seems me a bit strange is the behaviour, that it seems to Need a good while until it has reached the first third/half… After this it seems to grow faster. But that can be my personal Illusion, I did not investigate this scientific

Are we sure this isn’t outdated info? For example:

Also possible activities, but currently not used:
[…]

  • Convert T1 Thrall
  • Convert T2 Thrall
  • Convert T3 Thrall
  • Convert T4 Thrall

I can confirm that I’ve gotten significant purge meter increases from thralling.

This sounds plausible, as this was exact part of my online activities the last weeks beside those I already described. farming treasure hunters & working thralls in sepermeru (to store in chests).

On 12/9 Our purge meter hit the full line. No purge. Not a big deal. We know it’s a chance, not a guarantee. The next day we login and see the meter dipped down just below the line! What gives? I thought that only happened to inactive clans. I’m on every single day.

The purge bar goes down (IMHO) every hour no one is logged in…

Thats what I meant, that I am often in a loop… I get purge bar progress, then have to work and lose pretty much all that progress until I play again, which is the NEXT damn DAY!!

Only at weekends my purge bar moves alot.

I’m pretty sure these changes were done on the request of players … a while back when purge meter wasn’t going down players were complaining of getting offline purged and based destroyed I remember many players requesting funcom to stop offline purges … not sure why nobody is thanking funcom now for doing what these players requested

I believe you and I’m dumbfounded. We can’t be expected to be online 24-7. If I’m logging on every 24 hours, I shouldn’t be purge-penalized…at all.

Only lower it until a little bit under the purge bar? Or not at all for the first 24hours…

Funcom locks away many things behind purge thralls and then make it extra hard to even get a purge

It’s really a problem. I haven’t had a purge in over a year, even though I play at least 6 hours per week.

Except that offline others can be prevented by setting the minimum clan members online value to 1. It’s currently at zero.

Yeah, why isnt that a thing?
