Server: local single player testlive version, no mods.
This bug is shown with a snake purge but it is with all purges and on all locations (desert, jungle, snow, …)
What we are seeing is that part of the purge is stuck and doesn’t attack.
After a while of being stuck they teleport on top of the base (in this case the roof) and inside the base.
Not sure if the NPC’s being stuck is the reason they are teleporting or not.
All the bases were on land and reachable by the NPC’s.
This base has a lot of pallisades, but the bug is also present without them.

This happened yesterday on my server too. no mods, nothing changed in settings, we had our first purge and they walked up got 20 yards outside the wall, and teleported onto the building they had targeted (shrine in this instance) and proceeded to attack it. Repeated this for another wave, and then we saw NO more enemies, despite hearing the attack horn 2-3 more times. entire base is a ground base seperate one floor houses inside with a village motif and a 3 high wall with gates around it.
Yep. Teleporting purges into one’s base is very lame. What’s the point is setting up defenses if Purges just bypass everything? Breaks immersion (RP) and kills the enjoyment of a Tower Defense gameplay loop.
I think that is the problem. If the purge want to attack one of your buildings inside the wall, they will not find a valid way and so spawn directly on the building.
I had the same issue on my live server. After I connected the inner building with the wall the next purge spawned outside of the wall and start to attack the wall as part of the whole building.
I don’t know if it would help to disable autoclose at all gates and keep the gates open during purge time.
This just happened today to one of our players on my server. A Locust Purge spawned on his roof and well inside his structure. Live (not TestLive), PvP mostly vanilla Private Server.
