Hello guys, bout a month ago now i bought my own server. I’ve had 2 purges since then. both purges have been frost giants but both times they stopped spawning in the middle and I’ve had to wait for the 30 timer to run out for the purge to end. everyone else in my server has not had this happen but me. this is not normal, ive built up here in the snow almost the same way as i have on official yet now the Purge seems to Freeze? I am playing my own server called Dance With Death. what could be happening?
Probably a wave bugged out inside the rocks. If it was on PC I would check the logs for any clues on the location and teleport there as an admin but since you are on xbox, I am not sure whether this is an option. Next time it happens, you will have to probably ghost (in god mode just in case something kills you) and check the rocks around the purge location. If you find the location where the wave bugged out make sure you report it for Funcom to patch it.
thank you, I’ve never used ghost so ill do that in the next purge if this happens and see if this is whats going on. it makes sense that it could be bugging into the hill/mountain my base is situated on. how do i know the exact co ordinates in the map?
I am not sure whether it is even possible to get the exact coordinates on consoles. You don’t really need them though, you can ghost through the rocks to check for any bugged npcs.
P.S. One way for us to get the coordinates of a location is described here. Maybe if you plug a keyboard in!?
Hello @UnbreakableMare, we’re looking into a few issues with the purge, including the one you’re reporting.
As Narelle has kindly suggested, if you could provide us with more information on where your base is currently located, as well as whether you’re able to find if the purge has spawned within a mesh and that location as well, it would be really helpful. You may provide the location(s) through a screenshot of the map open with your character or cursor pointing at the position.
i do have a chat pad but it doesn’t have all those keys unfortunately. i will try what Hugo has said. thank you both for the help, as soon as another purge hits with this issue ill get evidence of it and post a new thread here.
yes most of the time, it’s happens because some npc of purge spawn inside mesh, inside rock, inside mesh of trees, stuffs like that. not really linked to a specific location, it can happens everywhere to have them spawn under texture.
