A few days ago, the purge stopped being able to initiate at my designated purge base that I had done many purges at before without changing anything about the base layout. It seems that a recent update may have influenced the purge npc pathing?
Where is your purge base? I heard someone in a stream talk about his purge base in the vulcano not working anymore
Yea the last patch has may have changed pathfinding to counter or purge logic to counter choke points (since making a bigger passage does help spawn it) - I don’t know if it’s an intentional stealth nerf or it’s just that they added new bugs, since I’m seeing this too:
Also purges randomly stop in the middle with enemies in my base because supposedly "there is no path anymore 
My purge base is in the desert near Muriela’s Hope.
