so yesterday I did purges from tier 4 to 6 (six attempts in total) and everytime I got one or two T4 thralls. Today I tried purge tier 7 and 8 (four times so far) and I got no named thralls. In the cages were in all cases only T2-T3 lemurian fighters.
The reward chests contain almost the same stuff as in tier 1 purge. Anyone noticed the same?
Are those purge thralls the same rng like anywhere else, or should there be higher chance to get named thrall, the higher the tier of purge is? Maybe I just had really bad luck. So far it seems that with higher tier purge the fight is only more exhausting, cause there are more attackers and the whole fight takes longer.
But what else besides that? Is it even worth it to try the higher purge tiers, or is it just going to be extremely hard and the reward will be the same meh?
I was waiting for others to give feedback for this too. But i find the loot in front of the effort, low, really low actually! Rng shouldn’t exist here, every tier should have a standard reward item that no other purge can give it to you.
Then again an artifact or a trophy that allows you to upgrade your purges. No matter how much gold you have, to advance your purge you need to have and maintain these trophies in your treasury.
I know it’s a starting mechanism and not even completed. But i believe that no matter how i enjoy and feel the war chaos when i do this purge, i don’t feel interested for anything that’s rewarded after “VICTORY”
Don’t really know about the lower tiers but from 8 - 10 the rewards are exactly the same, including what possible thralls you can get. You will mostly get bearers and dancers but some T4 fighters I’ve gotten so far: Lian, Cimm Berskerer, Sonja the Strider, Cormag Beastblood, Relic Hunter Treasure Seeker, and Dalinsia Snowhunter. They aren’t that common even at purge level 10.
The only real difference between level 8 and 10 is at level 10 you get one extra thrall cage at the price of fighting around 4x more enemies compared to a level 8. Unless you’re just doing it “for fun” I wouldnt bother doing higher than an 8.
I tried the tier 8 purge twice today and my opinion is that the loot or the thralls are not worth it at all. Enemies are too tough on HP and armor and there are crowds of them.
I can’t even imagine this 4x longer and 4x more enemies there, as you decribed it in tier 10. All of my thralls would be dead in the end, I guess. I a’m probably going to stay at tier 7 max, there is decent reward for it and it’s kinda safe in matter of not losing defending thralls.
The tier 7 is probably the last doable for single person to deal with, if he or she does not want to lose thralls, like me.
Purges 9 and 10 are really decent. In order to have correct outcome and less casualties you need decent performance.
This purge system has a lot of issues yet it’s not ready but still provides fun. If you are a rare thrall lover, lvl 10 will give you outstanding thralls. But in order to gain rare thralls you may have to sacrifice common ones.
Lians with spears perform outstanding. Then again you can always buy reinforcements , why do we have gold if not spend it .
I am thinking to start a role play session on line (single player perform excellent but it’s boring) pets only and defeat all the purges with pets only.
I am thinking of adding more difficulties, like looting only, no crafting benches allowed, etc…
Will you help me fixing a proper challenge please ?
Heya! To be honest I already moved on and found my own solution to the “difficulty of the purge”, as a matter of fact
Today I did two 10 lvl purgers and the only difference is that they last longer. I built good defense base on a good spot, around 15 archers on the ceilings above and 20 10 lvl+ thralls with best gear and weapons crowded in front of the inner base gate.
No thrall lost, many T4 thralls claimed, I don’t even know how to use them anymore. xDD I have around 10 different T4 bearers now, gonna level them soon. They are really good tanks, when at max. HP and level.
I am in awe how everyone glorifies Lian… I started to think that maybe I underestimated him a lot. Me myself have a weak spot for C. Berserkers, they are balanced and aim on strength and when you get good starting percentual stats, they are the best IMO.
About the challenge… Woaaah please, let it be a bit “I’ve been no challenger so far (n00b)” friendly I’ve seen some of those extreme challenges here, and most of those criteria were too much of a challenge to me (like 10x dmg done to you, etc).
About this, sounds nice. Only pets. THIS would give the pets at least some reason to be used. So you mean looting pet babies, taming them, leveling them… And using no benches? So you use only what you loot…
I feel pain in idea of not being able to use my favourite armor, sigh.
Every time i do something different, i challenge my self to become noob again.
Whenever i read sentences that start with ‘pro’, i laugh so hard you cannot imagine, ot reminds me of my son, look dad he plays like a pro . Challenges are not to make you feel better than others, challenges are to make feel better than what you were before. They push you to play out of box, out of ordinary and “force” you to see and act differently than the ordinary.
It’s a win-win and fun is guaranteed.
Many off us exceed 5k hours in this game, some exceed even 10k. Do you know how beautiful feeling is after all these hours to find out things that they were in front you all these years and went unnoticed. Then challenges give meaning to the most insignificant things in this game, the “useless” we have on a normal session.
There for…
Benches will be allowed.
Slavery is only off, whenever you free thralls from cages you can use them.
But the main object is to make all these purges ONLY with pets.
I will organize the rules and i will update your topic.
I want to see two things to be on topic after all.
1st. Is purge loot worthy?
2nd. Are pets useless?
My friend @Archivist, i am no better than you or anyone else in this forum and most are teachers to me, even you.
So…
It’s funny when you decide to do some things in this game, how the universe works to fix your mood. Look the label that the game gave me to start this session that i decided to play pets only
A Stygian commander was “abusing” a Camel, Bella was passing through and almost beat him to death. The commander woke up naked smelling Camel piss next to the well he was abusing the Camel. He couldn’t accept the shame that Bella let him unconscious and naked, so he took his troops and killed her family right in front of her eyes. Then he chained her and charged her his doing throwing her in the exile lands on a cross. Bella was saved by Conan, so now she is on the way to learn how to survive these lands and find her savior.
I am going to get into it in the next days, I just have no idea how quick is my progress going to be due to many work I have to do. But count me in! I was just thinking if it would not be better to create the whole new topic for this challenge?
Of course, when you have all set and done, and the main topics (below) should be included in the title as well.
We will see, what are other players going to say eventually. About the label, I never actually read it completely, but this one is hilarious xDDD
Purge lvl 1 feedback with pets only. The only tier 3 was the floor of my treasury, my main gate, and the 4 doors until the purge reach my treasury, nothing else. Even if my house is close to the treasury, the purge didn’t touch it at all, i felt zero threat about it and again this is really awesome for me.
So followers 14, only my horse and a greater hyena is lvl 20, my big alfa is lvl 15 and a wolf (fox) lvl 9 which was not involved to the fight at all, i place it in the treasury to accompany the account.
So…
I gambled 500 gold coins and 11 pets lvl 0. I lost literally nothing, i repaired literally nothing, and i took this loot you see above. I never felt pressure or surprised for a second.
So if we speak about balance on tier 1, i believe that a player has only gains from a purge like it.
Tomorrow with higher lvls i guess .
No, it’s just an accident.
I got a lot more named thralls at levels 7-10 than at levels 1-6.
This may be due to the fact that there are more cages at higher levels.
