My wife and I only very recently (December 15, 2023) started playing this game (and we are loving it btw). We started on a private EL server and level capped there, but soon moved to an Official PvE Siptah server and really enjoying the new playthrough there.
We just recently hit 60. We have Accursed III Fighters and are working on getting Berserkers. One thing I hear a lot is that Surges are a great way to get named thralls. On our old EL server, we did several Purges and I know how those work. But I’m not sure I understand what the difference is with Surges. Do Purges still work on Siptah using your Treasure as bait and proclaiming your wealth? Do Surges replace Purges? And what is this Wild Surge thing?
I would ordinarily just research this to get the info, but CE has changed so much and even very recently so there is a LOT of outdated information out there and I see wildly contradictory statements. So I come here, to my most reliable source of current info. I’d really appreciate someone pointing me to a confirmed up-to-date guide on Surges vs. Wild Surges vs. Purges, or any other information to help us understand how to do this today on Siptah.
Surges are basically summoned purges that are only accessible by visiting leyshrines and fueling them with ??? found in chests and drops as well as hardened steel. I suggest you visit they leyshrines around the map and read the lore altars.
Fortunately Siptah is no exile lands…
How about Sonja, or Dalinsia, or Ulrich even better?
You answer to this is the temple of the Loon!
In this camp you have main spawn of the forgotten tribe. Make sure you’ll have an outpost near by, these guys hit hard. But who cares about Berserkers when their chiefs are so much easier to gain…
Now about surge…
Do you really want to know how to gather 1000 whirlwind of chaos in 30 min max to make a tier 4 Surge? What i say it’s no cheat, but it makes it so easy that’s a bit game breaking. If you really want to know i’ll proceed. If you want to find out your self, i’ll stay silent.
You have to understand that tier 4 surges are solving all the games problems.
No more crafters searching…
Unbelievable followers…
Legendary weapons…
Recipes for cooking and religions…
Rare items for delving…
Baby pets…
And many more!!!
Surges, Grey pools and Vaults are the key of knowledge in this map. And like exile lands your strongest weapon is knowledge!
If you wish me to proceed, let me know!
Whoah! What a great response. As far as spoilers, I prefer to discover certain things on my own, and I add to that with web research, and occasionally I come here when I’m stumped. I don’t like cheats and I really don’t like handouts from others. When we first started on our first Siptah Offcial server, a very nice person gave us both a full set of Voidforged Vagabond, which gave us the Wanderlust buff (she told me “I have something for you that literally has your name on it” lol). And then she gave us some night vision masks. Then she took us to a decaying clan’s base and introduced us to unlimited thralls, Shieldwrights, Berserkers, Dalinsias, and of course untold wealth and resources. I can’t blame her, we readily partook, but that experience so catastrophically ruined our game, we immediately stopped all work on our base and our characters and left for a fresh start on a different Official Siptah, and now we are having a blast building our way up from the ground up.
So, I’ll ask you to suggest if your comments are going to be so life changing that it will spoil our sense of discovery and accomplishment, or if it’s just a very convenient shortcut that will easily eliminate something that would otherwise be boringly tedious. And thanks for thinking about it before spilling the beans!
And btw, what is a “whirlwind of chaos”? Oh, and I accidentally killed that guy, Jerik the Accursed, do I want to go back and bring my truncheon this time?
Definitely. I would yell you where to find Szeth truncheon, or coop de grace, but this is for another day. We don’t want to share too much in once, step by step i say and only in need is best.
Exactly, that’s the point!
Yet you seem like a strong character, healthy gamer so i will share without the fear of spoiler, because i know that you will use the information only if you feel the need to do it.
Playing online sessions many things can go wrong, you can loose everything win a snap of fingers leaving you with a great HOW? So knowing how to rise back from your ashes is really handy.
There for…
You have to go first to the Refuge of Gremlins.
In the end you’ll get the gremlins sigil and of course a good portion of decayed eldarium. Plus these chests may provide several recipes, so it’s really necessary to do these vaults.
Smelt the decayed eldarium in the furnace and fix the eldarium sickle. I place and an upgrade as well. Consume the sigil of the Gremlins and head to the fractured citadel
For every little dragon you gain 3 greater, every greater costs 50 whirlwind of chaos, that means in each kill and harvest with the eldarium sickle you gain 150 whirlwind of chaos.
For every blood moon beast you gain 3 shining, they cost 100, so in each kill yoi gain 300 whirlwind of chaos.
The minions provide unstable if you harvest them, it costs only 2, but you can gain 50 of them pretty fast.
There for…
6 shining. 600
6 greater. 300
50 unstable. 100
Total 1000 whirlwind of chaos, go to a shrine with these and 10 hardened steel bars and start a tier 4 Surge.
Good luck have fun m8, happy to have you around exile .
How satisfying it is to find someone who really knows how to explain something. Your step-by-step, illustrated “tip” is much appreciated, friend, and I will keep it close by for study!
