This all happened on an official PVE-C server. When I signed off last night all was well. Tonight, when I signed in my armor had been removed, all I was wearing was a pink fiber shirt and pink fiber pants. My shortcut wheel items had all been removed and a wooden practice sword had been placed in the bottom slot. I checked on another player in my clan, within the same building, and they also had this happen to them.
And your conclusion upon seeing this was that it was a bug?
No… this is someone intentionally replacing your stuff to troll you.
On a pve-c server , in pvp time , people can access your body even if you are logged out and loot you , if you are in a room that is totally closed , but went offline while being to close to the walls , people may access your body if it clips through the walls. if the room is not completely closed with a roof then your room isn’t safe to log out in with objects on you, and you should log out with all your loot in a chest and not on you ( and I strongly suggest you to do this even in a secure room as gaz arrows can kill you behind a wall if you are too close to it, as it’s an AOE, and that in some areas bug in temperature calculation can also kill you while offline). I often did the pink dyed clothes prank on newbies, filling their inventory with baby koopa. it’s a harmless prank ( i didn’t loot them though just dyed whatever they were wearing or upgrading their fiber clothes with pink dyed asura’s chosen armors when I had excess of them )
but if the room is totally closed and you were in the middle , while being big enough for your body to be inaccessible then it’s another story … if you aren’t sure take a few screenshots to share us the room you logged out in.
Let us not be disrespectful. I have played this game since just after it was released on PS4, in all modes. I get griefing. There was nothing in the logs. There was nothing missing or added to my backpack. I am posting this here partially to report the possibility of a bug. This isn’t the first time that the game has glitched in seemingly unexplainable ways. I didn’t log off until nearly 3 am, which was far after the PVP session had ended on this server. The day before, somehow a sabertooth used my elevator to get to my cliffside base and was killed inside the doors by my thralls while I was on the floor above that. It wasn’t even that I had just come up and it chased me, as I had been up there for maybe 10 minutes and had not left the base prior to that. The other player in my clan, shown in one of the photos I just posted, was also affected. Neither of us have beds closer than a chest-width from a window, and neither are near doors. IF, saying, IF, someone did somehow through a window access my inventory, is that an activity not going to be shown in the log? It should show as a lootbag at least, right?
GPT5:
“I dug into Funcom’s official forums and community reports, and here’s what I found:
What’s Documented
• Hotbar/shortcut issues are a long-standing complaint. Players have reported items disappearing from the wheel, being unable to equip tools, or items shifting around after relogging.
• Inventory sorting bugs are a recurring culprit. Several reports note that when the inventory is set to “Sort by…” instead of “No Sort,” items can vanish from the hotbar or fail to stay equipped.
• Placeholder gear (pink clothing) has been acknowledged in the past as a missing-texture placeholder. It usually appears when the client fails to load the correct armor mesh.
• Practice sword appearing: While not as widely reported as the hotbar resets, there are scattered mentions of “default” or “training” weapons showing up after reconnects, which suggests the server is briefly treating the character as a fresh spawn before syncing inventory.
Funcom’s Bug Tracker & Forums
• The Funcom forums have multiple open threads about hotbar resets and inventory desyncs, but I didn’t find a single entry that exactly combines all three symptoms (pink fiber clothing + empty hotbar + practice sword). Instead, it looks like a cluster of related bugs that sometimes overlap.
• The “Current Bugs & Issues” megathread on the Funcom forums is actively updated and does include hotbar/inventory issues, but again, not this exact triad.
What This Means
• Your issue is real and community-reported, but it hasn’t been logged as a single, unified bug in Funcom’s tracker.
• It’s most likely a desync/reset bug tied to the inventory/hotbar system, with the pink clothing being a placeholder texture load failure.”
I do use the sort feature regularly. Also, my character was attached to the bed. I am unsure if using the bed can cause desync issues with clothing or shortcut items.
There are ways to cheat through building pieces and move stuff without showing in logs.
This is not a bug.
As far as I know, items in the hotkey bar and also clothing do not appear in the log. I often annoyed a neighbor this way
… on PvEC. He thought his base was safe, but you could jump in from a tree. Well, I pretty much did the same crap he did. Just stole from the hotkey menu and changed clothes ![]()

BTW, also PlayStation.
Glitches to get into bases probably exist too. Cats were apparently able to open doors until the last update. But I haven’t seen hackers on PlayStation yet. So, glitches at most.
I can’t add anything useful to this so here’s something similar that’s perhaps entertaining.
A long time ago on a pvp server far, far away I got tired of fighting nothing but the decay timer and gave away a fairly large base. Camped out in the Sepermeru cubbyhole with nothing but a set of coarse armor.
From time to time I’d log in there to see if anyone I knew was on and how things were going which would cause my character to be in the world for a week each time. Nobody ever actually killed me, not that it would have mattered, but almost every time I’d log in someone would have either taken my armor or put more armor on me. Sometimes actually decent armor. This went on for about a year or so. Became it’s own thing in a way. What will I be wearing today…
Finally deleted that character when server merges happened just in case there were issues.
i used to love doing that to logged out people only we used to take it a step farther back when yellow lotus pots was bugged and could delete dungeon recipes, back then you could place them people inventories and press use resetting them and occasionally wiping their dungeon recipes. we would put stacks of them in people inventories to make sure we got their dungeon recipes deleted
Which one fellow exile. Let me know so i can jump in and confirm the issue.
