Pve world is too easy

Have to disagree here.
Get used to dodging, you will learn the timings.
Then, if the stamina gets changed again, you can adapt… But you will know the dodge timings and that’s always valuable :theworst:

Go online and you’ll understand what i speak about. New players use dodge spam for fighting bosses. This is not the way. Any spam on fights is completely unnecessary. All a player needs is calmness and knowledge, nothing else. It was and it still is a game of knowledge. There are games out there that need skills, not in Conan.

This is why I don’t play pvp. I prefer to spam attack everything. My ADD doesn’t wanna let me learn the technicalities of strategies and battle. I’m perfectly content with the challenges at times.

This game has a huge horizon. Everyone can shine in his own way of gaming. There’s nothing wrong to love other aspects of this game more than fighting.
When you build my friend you make all the others just spam buildings . This is what you loved more in this game and for this i am really happy to meet you. About fighting? If you wish to spam then spam, why should I have a problem with it? Do as you love my friend you own explanations to no one :metal:

@Egis511 cime to the pvp servers bud. Never a dull moment. You get “purged” every night, sometimes more than once. You can literally get robbed mining brimstone and crystal(as well as everything else) and the best part….if you don’t like your neighbors….just go blow their shit up.

PVE has been too easy for about 5 and a half years. It used to be that anything larger than a rocknose wasn’t a boss, but an obstacle to avoid. Unless you had really great equipment (BiS at the time) or numbers.

Ever since the addition of legendary weapons, danger in the game has gone way down and these once obstacles now became loot pinatas and have been this way for half a decade. Recently its gotten worse since you can smack these pinatas in a few combos, or even one in some cases.

Catering to the keyboard turning, ability clicking, tab-target MMORPG player was not the way to go. There was always plenty of content for the least of the players out there. Pushing out the players who are looking for a bit more than holding forward and heavy attack spamming was not the way to go.

Can you do a challenge so you’ll understand what hard means?
If you really love pve just name it, i have the perfect challenge for you. I guarantee you’ll enjoy it. So are you ready?

PvE in Conan was always too easy, and it’s getting easier with every patch/update.
It’s pathetic and boring and really can’t compete with other games.

What can you do? Private server with mods. Because vanilla is going to get only worse, it’s a visible trend.
I can’t even understand how console players can play this game without mods, there is literally NOTHING to do past 100 hours mark, and PvE in vanilla is pathetic, you can ignore EVERYTHING and just run past it.

Go play PvP?
In Conan PvP is now all about using hacks and not getting caught, it’s a taboo but everyone either cheats right now or get’s owned by cheaters. Skill is to cheat and not get detected.
There are many games like that out there.

So either mods or another game.

Thank you for an invite :joy: but I suck at pvp. I would end up on receiving end all the time. I am on pvec right now and other day two of us had crap beaten out of us by one guy (for a straight hour). I will stick to building and maybe a nice pvp match, thank you very much

Start with this one. Fix a new topic and keep us informed. This is not so hard but fun is guaranteed. Maybe the start will give you some trouble but you’ll manage .

Ps. Because some things changed since then, tag me to give you a specific rule set and better hints.

Making the game easier to attract more, new players that can buy all the DLC again and stuff from the bazaar is the goal here.

They don’t care about players who stayed since 2017. These players are just whining about the bugs and how easy the game is or how unbalanced PvE/PvP is.

It is easier to “trash out” these old players and money grab from new, unknowing players than actually fixing the game and/or adding some proper PvE AND PvP balance/content for a better game experience and challenge.

I’ve been killed a few times during Age of War

Not because of the enemies… but because of lag, and a few times falling off a cliff when my character refuses to grab and hold :')

Most enemies can be killed in 1 hit. But the serpentman has too much hp… the balancing is pretty whack

Give me a real challenge, because here you can just loot legendaries and win

I noticed this when I went through the volcano dungeon about a week or so ago. Multiple serpent men shooting arrows at me while my thrall and I are trying to dispatch one was a bit annoying.

I was just talking about using a thrall during the Red Mother, not myself personally, after killing her so many times I’ve got her tail swipe down

I use my thralls for Rotbranch and most things solely for the XP, same thing with bringing them to UC. Rotbranch still gives a good amount of XP, but it gave a wild amount before this update!

I know some people have taken thralls to Kurak’s dungeon to do the glitch level to 20 method, but I just can’t do that. I really enjoy levelling my thralls up, I currently have 80 thralls, 5 of them are cats that are level 0, the rest (excluding my fox pet at lvl 13) are lvl 20. Mostly all of them are either Purge thralls, or Northern thralls, a few wolf pets as well!

And that didn’t work. So by that logic, sunset development. Only newer projects will attract players. Every moment spent on CE is a waste of time. Oh wait… that isn’t going to happen because this armchair economics is utterly wrong. The idea of a load of casual players who think the controls on Sims and Cookie Clicker are wild didn’t suddenly turn to this game and go, “Hey… that looks accessible now!”

Like I said before, the game had a load of easy content. More content than said easy going player could even complete within several years of playing. It makes no sense to cater to them.

This is just your opinion: “there is literally NOTHING to do past 100 hours mark,”

I’ve played this game for over 6000 hours, been playing since May 10th 2018, taken a few breaks obviously and started from scratch. But this play-through I’m on I’ve been going strong for the past 10 months! I enjoy decorating my base, changing it up all the time to handle Purges better and adding small design elements that I come up with. I also enjoy levelling thralls and capturing new ones in the purge. I also enjoy exploring the world still. It’s a beautiful game and sometimes just mindlessly killing stuff is fun.

If you want to level your thralls, get items, get purges, you can’t just ignore everything and run past it.

It sounds like you can’t really think outside of your own narrow view of how this game needs to be played. Many of us are still enjoying the game! I do agree, things are far easier now and I prefer them to be much more difficult, but there are still many things to do!

I have done a similar playthrough, not as handicapped, but similar in spirit. I played as a raider. I could create a base from materials I found on bodies, no harvesting. On barbaric. I would try your challenge, but at this point single player is busted.
