Pvp raiding improvement idea, possibly

A common complaint and a somewhat excuse for offlining being needed in this game is that a repairing player is almost impossible to raid due to the ease of repairing . Whole sections of a building can be replaced in an instant in the form of walls, foundations, etc.

My suggestion/ idea to mitigate this is make it so aoe effects present on a surface prevents repairing that section until the effect is removed . An example of an aoe effect would be fire and another would be oil. I would not consider poison gas as an aoe for preventing repair in that can be ignited with a fire effect and gas is not settled on to the surface.

In short keep it slicked with oil or on fire and no repair be possible in that area of effect.

To be fair, I think some system that detects building damage should trigger a cooldown on the entire structure to where it cannot be repaired or built on much like the Purge does during its duration.

honestly there is a lot of possibility to make repair difficult or impossible, use orb of spider their cadaver will make impossible rebuild, player killing himself, his cadaver will make impossible rebuild, use of acid arrow, smoke arrow etc etc. and if you are solo and that 3 or 4 people attack you, you can try to repair as you want but in front of people that have over 1000 bombs and 3000 arrows due to the broken game balance, well good luck to repair.

offline raiding is not a matter of people repairing, its more linked to other reasons (skill of raider, or event in worst case they don’t want to be recorded in what they do and use if you see what i means)

Would make sense. I think temp repair pieces that are weaker than the normal ones could possibly be allowed to used to shore up a damaged structure until after raid time when it could be fully repaired ?
