I would like a Quartermaster Thrall. After I get back from looting / farming / whatever, I would like to dump my inventory onto this thrall and they can move it to the appropriate stations. Rules could be set up divide items proportionally. For instance, if give the thrall hides, X% would go to the Armorer’s Bench and Y% would go to the Tannery (because I set those rules up beforehand).
Basically, I want to spend less time managing the my inventories (including the crafting stations) and more time playing the core loop.
When he is done putting up your materials could you have him sort through all of my miscellaneous chests need help. Seriously that would be great. Not likely to happen though. Maybe mod for PC.
This sounds like a huge leap for the AI. Even if it worked (and that’s a BIG IF), I can imagine your client lagging out for a bit as the various items were sorted to wherever it was they were set to go. I’d much rather have easy access to my accumulated goods while crafting–think how the settlement system worked in Fallout 4.
The building aspect of this game is the reason my wife started to play this game and moved from playing Fall out 4 . From Robotics and Lasers to stone weapons.
