I was just looking through the “rules” and honestly couldn’t find a definitive answer. So my question is : is it ok to build a base in the upper part of the temple structure at Watcher of the Passage?
Presently the whole base fits inside a bubble. No exterior land claim , it’s not walled off below. I do have an enclosed wheel of pain out front but entirely separated from the main base.
Can they get access to the POI journey step marker? I don’t see why not as long as they can get that journey step but I haven’t see a WoP base that didn’t have the entire structure enclosed to prevent that and/or chained foundation landclaim around it and leading down to the water below so I have no experience with just that small footprint above.
Other players can easily walk under the base out to the back where it overlooks the river so yes they can easily the “you discovered ….”message no problem.
And yes, it’s actually kinda nerve wracking on my part not having the bottom closed off. Players can literally put up a treb right outside. Just last night some tried to arrow in by hitting the temple legs right below the bubble in attempt to splash out the fences I have around the top, and it was working. I had to get on repairs or they were gonna get up to the top.
I think that anything that is a POI is a problem place to build. Having your wheel as a separate structure could also be a problem as it might be considered as land claim.
