When it comes to naming someone, whether it be a character or your unborn child, a lot of time is taken to make sure it’s perfect. Luckily, you can edit your follower name at any time! So if you get tired of having to call over Sir Thaddeus Egssem Drulfoskaund every time, just edit it down to Ted.
We’re curious as to what follower name you are most proud of. Whether it’s a funny inside joke you have with friends, the name of a close family dog, or just makes others around you facepalm when seeing it.
Craptastic!
Usually the name given to the first T1 thrall I break whose primary job is to help me KO more useful NPC’s. Also occasionally given to some T4 thralls for the irony.
Niamh (Irish pronunciation: [ˈniːəv], from Old Irish Niaṁ) is an Irish feminine given name ( meaning “bright” or “radiant”), anglicised as Neve, Nieve, or Neave /ˈniːv/. In Irish mythology, Niamh is the daughter of the god of the sea, Manannán mac Lir and one of the queens of Tír na nÓg, the land of eternal youth.
I have a greater bear with +30 stats, 302% melee damage, good vitality and agility, I named him BRONSON, I figured Charles Bronson was pushing it. I also have a horse who also kicks butt, I named her Mare de’Lisse. When she is at camp or positioned while harvestin, she stands at the highest point around.
My bears all have names that start with “B”, my horses all have names like Ponyboy Curtis, Nagdelina, Mare de’Lisse, and my cats have Names like Razor, Switchblade…Since I only have named thralls (other than my initial T2 fighter), I don’t change thier names.
Besides, I have hundreds of “useless” thralls who are basically decorations for my bases and town. Love being a Single Player who doesn’t need to worry about thrall limits.
Some of my thralls:
King Random and Queen Darlena rule the Kingdom of Infinia. Actually, more like a city-state. Or more precisely, a single fort in the volcano. But they are a king and queen so it’s a kingdom.
Raymond the Chandler sells candles in New Sanctuary, my fortified town north of Sepermeru. He may write detective novels under a pseudonym.
and my personal favorite, Purple Ranja, a mercenary adventuress and a good friend of my protagonist, has absolutely no relation to any character created by Robert E. Howard, or adaptation of said character by Marvel Comics, or a movie character played by Brigitte Nielsen.
We name everything, because if you are looking for a particular Berserker, a list of Cimmerian Berserkers is useless. Also, if you think only named thralls are useful, you haven’t tested much. Some of our best are Nordheimer Fighter IIIs.
I like risque names, double entrenda and puns.
Mercifully I’ll only share a few of the one’s I use most often
“Stabatha” usually the first thrall I take is a T3 nordheimer with a pike, if it’s a female she becomes Stabitha
A food oriented one I use is…
“Cinnabon” for a Female Cimmerian. I blurred it because it’s a brand name for an American chain of baked goods stores specializing in cinnamon rolls
I like to name a Horse “Charley” and sometimes…
“Sybian” this one is blurred because it is also a brand name, for a woman’s personal device.
edit: it’s the horse I keep in reserve if my character dies and I need to get back to the body from my base, (the character is always riding it naked)
This is the closest I’ve seen to what I was expecting, I was expecting (and kind of disappointed that there isn’t) one called something along the lines of “Stabby McStabberson” or something silly like that. The only one I remember of mine currently is a T1 Black Hand Fighter simply called “Grog”.
My bearer is named Backpack, and I’ve built him a little 1x1 broom closet in my home under the stairs. He only comes out when I need my backpack with legs
