So with the living thrall update and the bringing your camps and home to life i was wondering. Is there any way we can get thralls to play instrument. I mean we got instruments, stages, and performers. Can we assign them to a harp and let them play it? Something fun and interesting like that. Being able to have a harp player in my tavern would be awesome or the clan hall.
we really dont know anything about their plans to the settlement for what they will put in. the test server is up here the 29 august where we all can go in and test the system if they not exdending the beta test but i really looking forward to see what they gonna do with the settlement and what they want to add to it
If this one recalled, they mentioned that several placeables were getting emotes attached to them (see the spot with the thrall turning the meat).
Instruments are a perfect candidate for this sort of update, and if they aren’t already on the schedule this one hopes they end up there soon.
You can already place a thrall on the Stygian War Drum. Bum, bum, bum, bum…when will the drumming stop.
I’ll get them whistling with gas arrows perforating their skulls. That should be very musical.
Hopefully with the option to turn the sound off. The Stygian drum was cool for approximately 6.3 seconds.
The Stygian drum is the intro level of PvP on PvE servers.
That said, the harps tend to be very quiet.
But yes, the large horns would be a particular nuisance.
please dont, you want official servers to explode?
the game is barely playable at official servers.
This will be abused on pvp servers. Players will build fobs full of loud obnoxious thralls outside of people’s bases outside of raid time with the sole purpose of annoying other clans
To make the game more alive and to add some life to the sandbox it would be nice to have some kind of NPC factions mechanics. Something that makes the NPC factions influence the area instead of just standing there doing nothing.
For example if you build your base on the faction’s land this puts you in danger. Once your base reaches some stage they are going to notice it.
And the bigger your base gets the stronger and more frequent attacks from said faction you have to endure.
Having something like this would be epic.
Randomization is indeed good, but the official should have their own considerations
Would totally go for it. Wanted musician thralls almost from the start, while decorating my very first castle. Would be a nice adition to, for instance, a tavern… because currently the thralls in there are just sitting, drinking and burping, would be really nice to be able to add some music in there=))
@CelticBas This is an amazing idea and would align perfectly with my concept to change Dancer thralls into **Entertainer **, which would introduce two specializations: [Bard] and [Dancer].
Entertainer Thrall Specialization:
-
Bard: Imagine having thralls not only dance but also play instruments like the harp or serenade you and your guests in taverns and clan halls. Bards could provide a more immersive atmosphere, performing songs that are challenging to unlock, encouraging players to explore and discover these melodies. They would also add strategic value—perhaps offering a small combat-related buff like health regeneration to nearby players or reducing corruption faster.
-
Dancer: While dancers would continue their role in removing corruption, I envision they could have an enhanced effect with specializations, giving players more reason to find and assign the best ones.
This change from Dancer Thrall to Entertainer Thrall would really elevate the Living Settlements concept, allowing for a more interactive and vibrant settlement atmosphere.
