Also an update. Just launched the game aaaaaaand again section of my Yamatai castle lost stability. This time way more elements, but still not a massive damage.
Guess my workaround was not permanent after all
I was having a similar issue on official. I found that after a server reset one of my buildings was losing the same foundation pieces every time. The logs showed that these objects lost stability. To solve this issue I had to remove and replace the objects that these were connected to. For example:
A foundation lost stability, so I removed the foundation it was stacked on and replaced them both. Same with another foundation that was ontop of a ceiling tile. I again replaced the ceiling tile it was ontop of as well as the foundation I lost. After a reset there was nothing showing in the logs, and my building was intact.
Those of you having an issue losing the same pieces over and over should try my solution. As for those of you losing random pieces I really hope Funcom can come up with a solution for you.
I’ll test it and tell you something
I’ve had no other choice than to rebuild a solid section of the upper floor and roof in my castle as it colapsed - still had the issue after logging out and back in.
After that I have demolished a small pavilion in courtyard that I have build recently, just prior to the return of the bug. Even though it was not connected to the main building (castle) in any way, that did the trick. For now at least.
Now I’m not sure if building anything new will not trigger the bug again
I still have the issue with 2 pieces of fence attached to a wall made of foundations. One just always loose stability, the other now shows 0 stability and also gets destroyed after logging in.
The reason that I have mention fences is that I have tried rebuilding a massive portion of that wall from the very bottom to the top and that did not work.
I have the same issue with a a single piece in my other stronghold and there I’ve really tried to rebuild and/or modify almost everything around it - no luck.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to provide any ETAs, but the issue is currently being looked into.
Thanks for the update Hugo. As you probably noticed there are more and more topics just like this one showing up on the forum, regarding both single player and online mode, so this is quite a common issue it seems.
It’s bad no matter of the game mode, but trust me when I say that people are very likely to stop playing when they loose massive amounts of time and effort put into collecting materials and creating their buildings in the online mode
I mean it was enough to scare me off from online, but I still really like the game and the building system.
