Recipes not available on most workstations

Similar to Cannot view or craft recipies at any crafting benches - Conan Exiles / PC Discussion - Funcom Forums (2019). Online or local sees the same issue.

Most workstations do not see a list of available recipes for any player on the server or as a single player in a local game. Removed all mods for the local game and verified the files via Steam with no change in behavior. Not game breaking, but incredibly inconvenient (recipes have to be looked up online). Without the recipe box, it’s unclear the quantity of items to create.

This is being experienced by all players on the same online server.

This is not a filtering issue as suggested in the 2019 post, this is the far right are where recipes should reside. The checkgamedb is also missing from the file structure (may have been removed since the post.

Based on testing, this should be more widespread but I can’t find any posts reporting/addressing it.

I suspect the reason you’re not seeing more reports is because maybe it’s only happening on your server. (Doesn’t mean it isn’t a bug, just a more localised one.) For example - I have all the recipe screens as expected -

I suggest it might be worth investigating what makes your server different from others. For example - are you running any mods? Is it a private server? Is it a commonly used host? Basically just anything that might help narrow it down.

It happens locally as well, so that takes the server variable out of it.

Just to be safe, I uninstalled and reinstalled the client allowing the server to push the mods to me. The problem persists.

Sounds like the mods are the most likely variable then. You’ve successfully eliminated the server, and tried a reinstall, so there shouldn’t be any corrupted files causing the issue. That just leaves the mods. Easiest way to test is to remove 50% of them, see if the problem persists, then gradually narrow the search. (Obviously, keep a backup of the save, so nothing gets permanently messed up while you’re having to remove mods.)

Post-reinstall there were not mods installed (when played locally) - the same problem persisted.

It’s odd I can see recipes on some benches but not others.

Well, yeah, that is very odd. If you’ve reinstalled and eliminated all mods, I have no idea why you would be having this problem. (And no idea why you would be getting this bug while (and presumably many others) am not.) I’m sorry, I’m out of ideas. The best I can suggest is that you report it to helpshift and see if the professionals can offer any help. (Unless someone else can jump in with another thought?)
