Regression: Isle of Siptah No Longer Works Offline

Bug Description:

The offline mode for Isle of Siptah described in PC Update 2.3 (16.03.2021) - Isle of Siptah revamp, Offline mode, sprint attacks and more! appears to be broken. The error message I receive upon trying to play Siptah offline is: “You do not own the required DLC to play on this server.” This pops up about half way through the loading screen. For whatever reason, the original Conan map loads fine and only Siptah appears affected. I’ve confirmed that with an internet connection, Isle of Siptah loads fine. This is problematic for gamers like myself who like to play while mobile.

Bug Reproduction:

  1. Confirm no internet connection 2. Start Steam in offline mode 3. Attempt to play Isle of Siptah in single player

Just curious… what’s the priority on fixing this issue? I fear this is going to get thrown into a Jira ticket somewhere that’ll get lost in a huge backlog. I can’t imagine it would take very long to submit a PR to fix what is most likely just poorly handled libcurl/LiveService calls.

As far as I understand it, they’re all out for the last two weeks of December, every year. I think it has something to do with Norwegian labor laws or something like that.

That being said, once the bug reports is marked as “Report-Received”, you’re not likely to hear more from them until the bug gets fixed – if it gets fixed.
