So I know I can learn them all without spending any knowledge, but what about ranking it from there? Am I able to earn their higher tiers with pure devotion to manifestation? Or to get any higher, I must invest knowledge points?

Invest knowledge points is the only way to get more knowledge. However there is a way to get more when at max level using power fragments you find in unnamed city.

I don’t mean to nitpick here eveofmana, but that is not quite accurate. It remains impossible to learn to learn the Crom religion outside of the character creation screen. Therefore, I generally tend to recommend that people select his religion when building their character. Well that and because he is Crom, and as far as I am concerned he is the most awesome and badassed of the gods.

Like @erjoh said! But it’s not the only reason, apparently if i remember correctly @Tephra said it’s over 1900 feat points you need now to unlock all the recipes. So after you hit 60, fragments and tablets of power are your next goals in this game.
