Remove thrall blockage

Thrall piles are the worst. I get stuck and unable to move and can’t tell thralls to move because I’ll just access their menus. I can change the keybinding, but in some cases (like the one in the picture), they still won’t move despite being told to. There’s a few ways to fix this.

  • Get rid of thrall collision boxes for people in the same clan while on follow (or at all. Is there really a point for a friendly thrall?)
  • Make thralls just want to move when they’re being walked into. Make them back away. Make them avoid being too close to the player.
  • Make friendly thralls just move back when kicked. Make kicking a way to just shove a thrall back.
  • Have an option on their menu to just ‘unstuck’ if it’s really a problem to code in anything else. Have them teleport a few feet away.

I’ve heard many horror stories of this very issues. Someone on my server told me about how they had to abandon an elephant that just wouldn’t move off of them. There are many simple fixes, let’s deal with it.
Thralls get in the way of doorways, thin passage ways, just get in the way in general. It’s a huge annoyance. But it’s really bad if it’s game breaking like the issue above.

Your never going to get a thrall that already blocks the way. SUCKS but true. I like the collision avoidance system, Id still same prob. Thats why my base has 3 exits. Just back up, lead them to you, and yay party over. but must confess I have only played solo game. Just burned out on EQ plat style.

I think roll dodge should allow passage through any NPC. It just sort of makes sense.

There could be a general command (the ones you access by holding “E” on PC) that makes all thralls following you move away (random direction).

That would easily unstuck players and should be easy to implement.
Or, like Taemien said, roll dodge could allow passage through Thralls.

They say that katana can help. People advise to carry the cheapest katana with you because one of it’s attacks allow to pass through your Thrall (IDK which one exactly).

I complained about the same problem recently, after I’d had to suicide to get out of a tight corner my thralls had jammed me into. A good tip someone gave me was to zoom the camera right in to get first person view; that way you can usually find a small area you can direct your thralls to, rather than opening their inventory. I usually end up boxed in after combat in a tight space - why can’t the thralls back off when combat ends?

The other scenario is when I’m trying to interact with something and press E, and, instead, my thralls and horse come and stand on top of me. I tried changing my move command to something else, but E still makes them move too, so I’m not sure what’s going on with that! A command to make them step back would be brilliant.

We need a Fart :dash: action that makes all nearby thralls and mounts in the nearby area spread out away from the player.
