Rendering - No Anisotropic Filtering (AMD)

Game mode: All
Type of issue: Bug
Server type: All
Region: EU (UK)

For AMD GPUs, having seen this on both my old AMD Radeon HD 7850 and current Vega 56, anisotropic filtering seems to be completely unused by Conan Exiles. Forcing it through the GPU driver program Radeon Settings is ignored, as is through the ini files.

Current driver is 19.10.2, the latest, and has been present on all the older drivers I’ve used since buying Conan Exiles back when it was just the desert.

This has been a bug present since Early Access.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Use any AMD GPU since GCN
  2. Install any supported driver version
  3. Play Conan Exiles

As you can see, when viewing objects at an angle, it becomes extremely blurry. This is due to the lack of any AF. If there was at least 4x or 8x, it wouldn’t be so extreme on objects close by, but that looks like there’s 0 AF.
