The new Zingaran camp curved wall doesn’t let you build foundations or ceiling pieces in it’s inner corner. How can there be something wrong with the building pieces almost every time you release them? Then it takes years for you to fix some of them. Just send me the set before release and i’ll point out the issues in 30 minutes for chirst’s sake.
And a bit more detailed explanation in case you didn’t get it. When you start the building by placing the camp walls first so that they are on the terrain instead of on foundations, it looks nicer and more natural than building the walls on foundations since the corners stick out from underneath and they look just horrible. But if you do start by building the walls first you can’t complete the floor inside since the corners block foundations and ceiling pieces. Also building the floor first doesn’t work, then you can’t place the curved wall.
No, I think what they’re saying is, unlike the Aesir curved wall, the Zingaran one does not allow you to place a foundation in the L shape of the inner bit. So you end up with a hole.
It’s not a “set” until it’s a complete set. These are merely a few “giveaways” used to entice players to buy the BP. It worked for me. chapter 4’s BP really sucks In comparison to others BUT I bought it because I HAD to have those few building pieces because I love building in the game. There were only a few other things in the current BP I liked the rest was pointless and very dull. They could do better with the BPs. I get it, you have to have equal amounts of crap to goodness, except most have been crap but $10 is still worth 60 items in my opinion. So I’ll live with the crap I never use
Actually, it was stated in the dev stream that the build set for this battlepass allows you to build a complete mercenary camp. So, technically it’s not missing anything right now. Some build sets are designed around a specific theme and thus certain pieces are omitted on purpose. Examples - Arena, Riders of Hyboria, Pyramid, Aesir, Savage Frontier.
Then some build pieces are omitted by accident, such as the slipshot curtain design for debaucheries.
Personally, this one thinks the Zingaran stockade set is a bit rough, it is missing, if not pieces, then at least snap points so that it can play nice with other sets.
What fool makes a perimeter wall that cannot have troops station upon it or patrolling around?
While a good start for a set, it has all the completeness of the initial Aesir pack.
Building anything in uneven terrain (even terrain even ) has always been very problematic.
The base for all building pieces is the same, and follows the same rules. But as stated, they are not sets until the 2rd or 3rd time they are featured in the Bazaar. The lost dungeon set was missing stuff if you tried to build it, and now it has the set to build it correctly. The Yurt set also came incomplete to be completed later.
About the DLC era, that was another thing entirely. Little to do with the Bazaar scheme of things.
Don’t worry. Soon enough you’ll be able to buy the rest on the Bazaar, probably.
If you can’t station troops on top, it’s mostly decorative… alas, that’s what we have now.
I really don’t care what y’all want to call them, whether it’s set or just a collection of building pieces. I preferred set as it meant I had to type less characters and it got the point across.
However, building on even terrain, if you’re using 1-height foundation blocks, means if you have a section that needs 4 height, and another that only needs 2, you can have them all the same height. Because the angled fortifications (for all the newer collections: Aesir, Pyramid, Zingaran) are already 4 high, you have to build MUCH taller than is necessary if you want them even all around. They should be able to be sunk down farther if you want, especially because most places are not flat enough to make best use of them.
See the bump on the side of the gate ? It gets higher inside so I had to build zingaran foundations for OTHER pieces, but the Zingaran one, built nicely and fit.
Because making stuff work while working under time pressure is difficult. And fixing stuff while also having to work on new stuff under time pressure can be difficult too.
I’ve been able to place these walls on the edges of already placed foundations without putting them on top of them. Not sure what would be causing others to not be able to?
The rounded pieces were my desired height point. But the piece on the side couldn’t go down any further. And trying to raise the rounded foundations up looked plain stupid. As long as some of the angled pieces stick out of the ground, they should allow for further sinking for finer control of heights. Essentially, the top of the pieces, not the bottom, should be the point the game checks for “too far below ground”.
