im sorry to go back and forth but this was all working correctly thru the Jhebbal sag Event that just went away. you could avoid having them decay in three days - ( WHICH IS THE WAY they are supposed to on Official ) by adjusting the itemspoilrate on private or SOLO player, they WOULD INDEED LAST LONGER… I am just trying to ask the devs if the Zeds no longer are associated to the itemspoilrate group in the system file… Because i just noticed it in this age so far.
Ok. The community managers/devs rarely answer questions that matter, like the one you are asking. I would like to know the definitive answer also. What type of sorcerer character do you have? I’m all about the sorcery in this game. It’s AWESOME!
The disadvantage of stamina loss is exactly the reason that’s balancing the over powered form of sorcery with the combination of the by far best armor of the game “Abyssal armor”.
So in a server without stamina loss, Abyssal armor can easily become the king, there’s no doubt about it.
If you ever decide to play sorcerer in a pve server, but with vanilla settings, let me know. It’s real fun to hold alone a lvl 10 purge just with sorcery gear, which means only gear that your circle of power can give you. For your first demon blood you have to fist fight a wb spider to the end .
Abyssal rhino will be your best friend until you’ll get the maul and the bow. You won’t believe how thrilling is to fight on jhil caves just with Abyssal bow.

I confirm your previous observation that in some servers the zombies were living way too long before they decay. I will tag my friend @sestus2009 to give his lights here. He runs a pve-c server since forever, so he may have a hint about it.
TBH, I’m always looking to expand my knowledge for sorcery, especially when it comes to battle tactics. so sure send me a message if anything and i’ll hop on and give it a try. But I would like to be clear, im looking for a fun and exciting server i can expand my Sorcery knowlegde with.

That is incorrect. Ressurected Corpse lifespan never had anything to do with itemspoilrate.
They have always had a fixed 48 hours default lifespan.
The only caveat was that in the past servers which did not have a servertime database entry added (a side-effect of never having turned on building decay) could not keep track of this, so at every restart the timer reset, causing zombies to last infinitely in single player or servers which restarted daily.
This lack of the servertime field was a longtime bug which caused servers to always display age 0 in the server browser, which has been fixed a few updates ago, also causing zombies to properly decay in 48 hours as intended.
There actually IS a setting that affects their lifespan, however it’s not available on the interface, so to change it you would have to add it to the ServerSettings.ini (which you cannot do on console unless you play on a server)
The setting is ThrallSummonLifespanMultiplier=1.0 which would multiply their lifespan by the set value.
So no, there’s no bug here, given that you play on a private server, most likely your server had the age:0 issue so their lifespan reset with every server restart, since Funcom fixed it, it probably started counting the age again and now they work properly and expire when they should.
Try using the above setting in your server configuration and that should solve the issue
