Just last night, found the simple dung + fiber = compost recipe instead of putrid bonemeal and fiber… my world has changed.
Since you mention the staff as being ‘broken’ - I figure this might also be new info (most people don’t realise they need to do step 4, because nothing tells you that…) -
To get the Staff of the Triumvirate to work -
- Kill Abyssal Remnant and get staff (duh!)
- Take to Tower of Bats, place in altar with Albino Bat Blood to craft into ‘Awakened Staff of the Triumvirate’
- Place down and hear what he has to say - then pick back up
- Take the Awakened Staff with you to the location he suggested the Archives - as far as I am aware you do not have to place it down at that location, but you do have to take it there
- Now place it somewhere in your base - talk to it from time to time, and then go and complete whichever ‘quest’ it describes - it should now advance through all steps correctly, with dialogue for each step of the ‘Bracelet Quest’.
I’ve considered building a “dung factory” because of that.
I thought that was fairly normal and understood. I mean compost is normally made of dung and fibers…
shrug Apparently not everyone has made that connection.
I have 10 elephant filled pens….
I thought it still needed something else. Thought it was a replacement for putrid meat but much to my surprise…
I recently figured out you can dry plants to seeds and store a lot of plants in a nice smaller area. But you need lots of compost as well. Thus my interest in a dung factory.
Here’s another “secret”: when you want to decorate with plants, sometimes it’s easier to use a crude planter than to craft a specific decorative planter.
You don’t even have to grow a plant in the planter to get the decoration, just put a fully grown flower inside
Sure, a decorative planter is decidedly cheaper: you need only 13 stone and a seed for it, as opposed to 25 bricks (250 stone) for a crude planter. However, a crude planter has multiple advantages. For one thing, you can change flowers anytime you want.
But there are two more advantages that few people know about.
One is that there is no decorative planter for true indigo, which is a shame, because true indigo looks awesome in a planter:
The other is that there’s a difference between a golden lotus in a decorative planter and the one in a crude planter. The one in a crude planter glows in the dark. It’s not a light source and the glow-in-the-dark effect can’t be seen from afar, but if you get close and there are no strong light sources around to drown it out, it looks freaking awesome:
For comparison, the one on the left is decorative planter, the one on the right is crude planter.
When you refresh your decay and the numbers take a while to go back up, someone has probed your claim.
Yeah, the “glow” animates… Looks wild close up…
Likely a color cycling technique…
I’m using all advanced planters tho…
1 Human Flesh + Fluid Press = 1 Blood
Holding a Black Blood Tool and wearing Asura’s Armor (full set) and having only 10 points in Survival, will net you total 30 in Survival, which allows you to gather stuff faster.
Probably not a secret, because I just got my first horse to ride on Monday, but:
I struggled to maneuver the horse, they have a biiiiig curve to steer left and right, or they do it very slowly.
So i just simply release the forward button (thanks to @TeleTesselator for correcting me!) AND turn at the same time, this way the horse can turn around on a dime quickly.
Or from sprinting, press jump, and turn around, it is funny to see the horse spin mid-air.
If you’re on a KB you can just take your finger off of W when pressing either A or D for hairpin turns at high speeds.
- I want the sprint key to be the same as whatever I define for the character’s sprint. Can’t seem to do that though (unless using the defaults) - so sprinting the horse for me and my ancient broken pinky, is very awkward.
Ooo this reminds me of something for us controller warriors. Did you know with controller you can divide stacks in you inventory by specific amounts? Select stack, select new slot and a value appears that you can determine +/-10 or 100 by simple clicks on the R/L1 and 2 triggers. Makes sorting a breeze. You can even move a stack and then type the number you want to move into the field using your keyboard.
Also, I believe the type of saddle you put on your horse affects maneuverability, stamina and speed.
I like to use the nemedian scout saddle because it’s faster and more easily maneuverable, but it’s easier to get knocked off of it.
On PC, you hold SHIFT while you drag the stack and it will bring up the specific amount input option.
How to beat the ping.
If u want to play a server with a ping over 200 just click on direct connect and enter the IP address. To get the address look it up in your game files there u will have a record of all your game IP addresses. This does not work on 9999 pings that ping means the game is down or restarting.
I will pass this along as it may also be a secret!
Shift right-click splits the stacks. Do this quickly to populate a box or chest: full boxes are laggy, and any experienced PvPer will avoid the lagless ones.
Been a while, but vaults used to be easy to check like that. Run up, and see ifbyou get a lag spike. Made a difference when vaults were 600,000 HP.
