Already 11+ h official siptah server #6057 is down. It can’t be only for me, right? When or is it going to be fixed? Is it normal for server be gone for soo long?
I also died just before the server shut off… probably my body will be gone by the time server will start again?
I just looked for it, and could not find it. If if was there yesterday, this may be tied to the g-portal configuration settings SNAFU.
If you haven’t yet done so, you should probably see about putting in a Zendesk Support ticket. That is the avenue for inquiring and alerting Funcom about official server operational issues.
Tagging @Community and @AndyB in case the disappearance of #6057 is related to the PvP mode changes.
Just tossing in that 6442 has been missing for a while as well.
so the pvp 1210 eu
Your best option for resolution is Zendesk Support. I do not believe that anyone will be checking in to the forums here to look for servers documented that are in need of repair or attention.
Dear Cauthey that was first thing i did posting here is the alternative
My favored server seems to be gone as well…
There seems to be no end of issues with CE lately… servers disappearing, crashes so bad people can’t play at all, issues with the living settlement system, broken UI, falling through foundations… when will it end?
No offense to you intended.
My answer is no and my reasoning is thus…
This is Funcom’s official forums which implies direct communication. It takes around 15 minutes total per day to skim the forum topics several times per day. I know because I do so. If they aren’t worried about it enough to put even that modicum of effort in then neither am I. Throwing up a post here is quick, easy and allows rapid consolidation/verification from many people. They should encourage reports here.
I’m not going to jump through hoops/wade through multiple levels of bureaucracy to help them do their jobs until I am paid to do so. Seems obvious Funcom doesn’t do their own info gathering and problem solving which means it’s outsourced. Well, tough. Not my circus, not my monkeys and if the chosen system doesn’t actually work to resolve issues, even if it’s due to cantankerous players not being willing to use it, then it may be time to consider a new system.
If issues aren’t going to get fixed unless players do go out of their way to fill out reports on yet another website then that’s on Funcom and they can deal with the pissed off customers. To be brutally frank if they can’t run a ship tighter than this then they deserve to lose said customers.
Yes, I’m aware that in the time it took me to type this I could have made a report. Consider this my report about making reports.
Did I miss any forest biome for the trees?
No offense taken.
What I have learned about Funcom, recently, is that they are trying to boil the ocean. But the tools they have to carry out that task is a shot glass, and a book of matches.
The Community Team are the ones who scout the forums. I expect that perhaps a few others do, also. But you cannot be guaranteed that one of their operational folks will see something posted here.
Then, there is the consideration that the operational folks are being measured on their ticketing metrics. It does none of them any favors with their numbers to turn away from “the next ticket” to surf over here, and see if they need to register a ticket on your behalf in order to address your issue.
Does it suck? Yes. Should it be different? Absolutely. Should they be reviewing stuff over here, and working to try and solve problems here? 1000% they should. But I don’t think it’s a matter of “not wanting to.” I think that the way their management has put it to them - they simply aren’t able to. Unless it’s on their own time. And even then - there is only so much you will do for your “day job” when you are on “your own time.” At some point, you get burned out, and resentful of your management encouraging you to earn profits for them on “your own time.” As anyone genuinely should.
I hope that they resolve your issues with #6442. Here’s hoping that whatever the snafu - they will largely be able to roll whatever mistake back. I do hope that they will not have to granularly seek out each borked server.
To be fair and lest I sound too harsh these types of threads do seem to work. 6442 is back up and humming now. Maybe would have happened anyway at server restart. Not something I can know. Some time ago when only the Grave Matters event was spawning there was an ongoing thread about it with Funcom participation and it was fixed in the next patch.
Also with the Nemedian foundation thing I never filed a ticket to try to recover anything that was lost but did chime in here to say that it had indeed happened and was a thing that needed to be looked into. I don’t even own that dlc but my clanmate did and we lost about eight stations and some chests all full of thralls and materials.
I see the servers are still set to drop nothing on death. That may change at the next restart cause sometimes it takes two for new settings to kick in. To be honest when I first noticed that I assumed it was on purpose in response to some recent issues.
I’m currently actively trying to figure out why crafter thralls are seemingly randomly dying. I wouldn’t bother if I didn’t think someone was listening. Or chime into threads like this.
Now those all are general sorts of issues that affect everyone. For personal stuff like financial transactions that glitched out you’re absolutely going to need some kind of one on one report system. I’ve never used the current system in that regard so can’t comment on it.
