Server instability 6/24 - 17xx series, #1742 specifically

This morning, the entire bank of 1700 servers has suffered instability. The 17xx’s were down at approximately 9:30AM ET this morning, and again just now at 12:00PM ET.

The result of this, for me, was me dying offline, and losing all of my stuff on PvP #1742. Nothing in the Event Log, no body marker. Just stuff gone.

I don’t mind losing stuff to PvP combat. I am ultimately forgiving if I lose stuff due to my own foolishness. But this was not my fault. And I am very angry.

One moment, I was trying to chop a dead tree with a pick for bark. It wasn’t yielding resources. I tried to move to a different angle, as sometimes is helpful if having a minor client/server sync issue. I tried three different angles. Nothing yielded bark. I immediately checked my ping, and server FPS. Stats were normal. Reasonable.

And then I was unexpectedly disconnected.

I love this game. And I will likely just go and try to remake all of my stuff. But I cannot easily replace legendary items. And rare/unique items farmed out of the Unnamed City.

This is supremely frustrating. DO BETTER, Funcom. Please. Please do better.

I lost a Greater Sabretooth (x5), 3000 hardened steel, 7 Bandit Leaders, 3 Witch Doctors, Musashi’s Blade, Blade of Adventurer x 4 and a pony.

All joking aside, I am really sorry for your loss. Man that’s rough.
