Guys it’s an expansion. Not a DLC. Keep that in mind.
I still don’t find it P2W. Like I said I played without that content.

Yeah, but it definitely gives you an edge. Don’t forget sigils.
I would love to have server transfers back. They could solve the problem simply by adding Siptah gear AND sigils to the new vendors on the EL map. No more p2w.
There’s not much difference between DLC and Expansions.
Just so you know I’ve had this argument over 20 years ago when Ruins of Kunark came out and we saw all that Old Sebilis gear coming into Lower Guk, The Hole, and Nagafen’s Lair.
Thankfully FC didn’t give Isle of Siptah peeps (to which I am one of, I did buy it) an extra 10 levels and another perk.
Sigils are almost, if not as valuable, @Taemien . You become an exile on steroids when you use them.

This. AND this again.
It does not make sense. If a player, without a clan, transfers over to Siptah, the player loses their clan entitlements, basically disbanded (and somebody else takes lead). Wait, no lead means wipe.
Wait until the player comes back after transfer. Now the player expects lead status again on return. If somebody else became lead, there is probably alt account usage to help keep status. (I’ve seen “admin” accounts for some clans.)
It’s rough without an admin account, yet there are rules.
This is fascinating because there is not many online games that you can transfer inventory along with body… someone must have thought this out… yeah… summon corpse… i digress…
There actually is. Look at WoW - you get expansion you get +10 extra levels and better gear and basically mercilessly pwn ppl maxed without the expansion. It’s basically mandatory. Same with other MMOs.
Ark also had some extra lvls when you finished the expansion which made you considerably stronger.
Ark
Truth be told I don’t care for the advantage in sigils and whatever. They can make them attainable. I just want thralls there and statues and to play on that map.
Personally I also find this formula in MMORPGs with expansions to be bad taste. Forces ppl to buy an expansion AND play it, level up AGAIN etc. Would rather see more alternative content added to a game or improvements in crafting systems/AI etc. Expanding the gameplay rather than moving the end game a bit further.
I’m just making a comparison. Don’t expect FC to be keeping ppl from getting Siptah just because a wee little imbalance, when other games are doing this thing blatantly. Especially since they are blocking the customers that bought that expansion from enjoying it.
Nope.
Back to CE, we were discussing what doesn’t work with server transfers. Again, as a solo, there is a point there being unplayable because of it being geared for non-solo clans.
Yes you can. I constantly transfered stuff between the different maps.
The game being unplayable as a solo is an exaggeration. I have the Siptah expansion but never was there even when it was possible. Most of my couple hundred hours have been spent during Siptah expansion time on official PvEC as a solo without Siptah stuff. Most ppl I know also played like this and some were veterans, some simply didn’t want the expansion. Unplayable? lool come on guys…
Most of my 4500+ hours have been spent on various official PVE-C servers. As someone who’s been hanging out on PVE-C for years now, I would be very interested in hearing just how much time you spend actually fighting other players
In my experience, most of the PVE-C fights are prearranged sparring bouts. The rest of the time, people will either run away, or die because they didn’t expect a fight and then complain about it in global chat. Mix in a murderhobo or two, whose main form of entertainment is ganking lowbies or camping outside vaults to kill people while they’re in a loading screen.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that “I play on PVE-C” isn’t a statement that inspires a lot of confidence in one’s combat experience
As for the topic itself, they should either keep the maps separate, or disallow inventory transfer, or make Exiled Lands on par with Siptah. As it is right now, transferring stuff Siptah is P2W in all game modes, and it’s a big “screw that noise” vote from me. And I’m saying that even though I own Siptah DLC.
Mostly when I had to for my part. Knew who did pvp constantly and indeed some had the Siptah buffs. Not all though and they were known pvpers.
Wish we had a better update on when it is planned to return.
Implement something as you suggest PLUS not allowing folks to transfer raid materials and I think the problems have been solved.
Nope- i play alot solo. Now im clearing 98% of content in EL - working on 100%.
All from gear and weapons in game. The Devs can see it.
agreed. Solo play is doable for in-game content…especially now. When 3.0 came out I accidentally wandered in the migo event. That was painful but I still could do it solo and without thrall.
The only pain point I can see is Well of Skelos unless you speed run it. Eventually you have to leave and if you took too long in the dungeon, then guards get full access to your body for the load screen time.
Not so much for PVP if you are dealing with a clan that knows what they are doing. Great fun if you are opposing a clan that doesn’t though so the trade off evens out.
If you are solo, then you know that character transfer better be same day. If it is more then one day, then expect builds to decay due to having a one man clan.
I don’t know how you got around that without a 2+ man clan.
2 ways.
1st. Questionable ethically is the alt account method. you have a runner character that goes between maps and two characters that stay on the maps fueling the goods. This is the long term solution that is more viable since you can collect and use items from each map.
2nd. The decay timers starts when someone gets within the distance of the structure. Build very tiny and very remote. when you come back, you can collect your old mats by demolishing your own stuff.
