Server went down; lost horse along with all it was carrying

Type of issue: Losing items+horse when server went offline

Maybe not exactly a bug, but: I was riding my horse back to base, when the servers went down; well, not all of them, I think. At least official #1047 did. After I managed to log back in I found out that I killed myself. I managed to get my items off my body, but my horse was nowhere to be found.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Play game
  2. Server crashes
  3. Pet probably gets killed offscreen and it’s body along with the inventory despawns
  4. The opposite of profit

Did you check followers to see if it was in the going home mode?

It was not, but I found that I could check where it was, and it just ran off somewhere.

Back when I played first it wasn’t an option yet, so I thought it was lost :sweat_smile:
