Shrine Placements?

Server type: PvE

Cannot place/upgrade shrines. No error message comes up, it says it can be placed, but then when placed the shrine disappears and the does not return to my inventory. In some instances it places and in others it does not. It seems almost random with when it will work and when it will not. Tried placing on ground, on foundations, on ceilings, and lowering into/tilting onto ground more. I even had a shrine there previously and still cannot place it. It wouldn’t be so bothersome except it’s eating the materials used to create it, and sometimes the ones to upgrade it.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

Hey @momma_jibi

You mention this is happening in a private server. Are there any mods installed in that server that could explain this issue?

There are mods, but I am not in the position to remove the one that may be an issue in order to test.

Edit: I’ve contacted the server owner and he will be reordering the load and testing it out tonight. Thanks for the suggestion!

I’ve experienced this on official with the Ymir shrine. I kept trying to place it until I had a 10x10 of foundations and it finally let men albeit wouldn’t let me place it perfectly straight but at an angle. Make sure you’re far back from the shrine when placing it and no objects such as beds, workbenches, ect, are nearby or in the way as they can prevent the placement of things.
