Does anyone know of any good server mods that work well in single player mode? I see lots and lots of mods for a particular named server, and I was wondering if anyone tried (and enjoyed) a particular server mod for single player games? Most of them don’t have much description. I’m looking to enhance my single player experience (maybe try something new).
Suggestions welcome…
It depends on what you are looking to add to your game. I think PvE Plus Ambush is a decent addon that keeps me more engaged by adding mini purges directed at the player instead of the player’s base. I needed to turn down the frequency of the ambushes though as it was difficult to get anything done. Ambushes can also take place inside no build zones (like Sepermaru) which adds another level of planning when going thrall hunting. Happy hunting. 
If you use AoC, Lotus RP. Though keep in mind that like AoC, it HEAVILY edits vanilla assets and will be prone to breaking on patch day.
To be honest, I don’t really know. I just know I’ve been playing the same thing for a long time and I’m looking for something to freshen up the game. I love modding my game, but its been tough finding something “new.” But when it comes to “server mods” – most of them have very little description of what’s in them. I thoroughly enjoy PvE so mods that enrich the PvE experience would be great whether that’s improving on purges, thralls, races, new armors or weapons, maps, monsters, building sets, placeables, stations, camps and outposts, or even new game features.
I don’t play with the nudity on nor am I looking for any “adult” mods. And I run with the Dismember Me Not v2 mod (I don’t need an ‘arrow to the knee’ causing an NPC to explode into pieces) and NoMoreHumanParts mod (I don’t need arms and legs cluttering up my loot bags). But other than that, I mostly open to suggestions.

I tried AoC and EEWA about a year ago; it definitely had some interesting features. I did not like how dark it made the Unnamed City and eventually stopped messing with it (but I did like most of it). I’ve never heard of VAM before. So it if plays well with AoC and EEWA, what other mods would go well with that kind of total conversion? Would LotusRP (as @Multigun suggested – that’s another new one for me) work well with VAM as well (or is that more of a choice rather than a companion)?
I’m trying the Savage Wilds map right now. Its definitely been quite interesting playing on a large, new map. I haven’t tried Gothic yet, but it sounds like its not ready yet (a WIP).
I have looked at Drachenfeles mods like Severe Weather, but the AI in Conan Exiles is always unaffected. If creatures and NPCs reacted to weather, too, (like NPCs seeking shelter or limiting visibility) it might be something I’d try out. But storms only seem to affect the player (and not the AI). I don’t blame Drachenfeles, its just a limitation of the game itself.
